Working at BarBurrito has been a challenging experience, to say the least. Management is unorganized, which leads to a lot of unnecessary stress for employees. Shifts are often understaffed, making it hard to keep up with customer demand and maintain quality. This not only affects our ability to provide good service but also adds strain to the team, as we’re constantly scrambling to do multiple tasks at once.

The training is minimal, leaving new hires struggling to learn on the job, which is frustrating for both the employees and customers. There's also little recognition or support from management, making it hard to feel motivated. The pay isn’t great for the level of work required, and there’s no clear path for advancement or opportunities for growth. Overall, it’s been a disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend working here unless some serious changes are made.

I worked as a line cook at Bar Burrito, and it was overall a mixed experience. The work itself was pretty stressful. As a line cook, you're constantly juggling multiple tasks during peak hours, and things can get hectic fast, especially when the orders keep piling up. It can feel a bit overwhelming at times, especially since the pay is on the lower side for the amount of work you're expected to do.

One thing that made the job more bearable was the team. My coworkers were really friendly and helpful, which made those busy shifts a little easier to manage. Having a good team really makes a difference in a high-stress environment like this. However, the management was a bit of a downside. Unfortunately, my experience with the manager wasn’t great. They weren’t very approachable or supportive, which added unnecessary stress to an already challenging job.

A typical day at Barburito is fast-paced but rewarding. I’ve learned a lot about customer service and teamwork. The management is supportive, always willing to help, and promotes a positive work environment. The workplace culture is inclusive, with everyone working together to deliver a great customer experience. The hardest part of the job is handling the rush during busy hours, but it’s manageable with a good team. The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with customers and being part of a fun, friendly team. Overall, it’s a great place to work!



I love working here. The amount of respect I have for my manager is insane and it’s because they show you so much respect in return here. Obviously a minimum wage job isn’t what everyone wants or needs but if your in high school or even college and you just need something but don’t want to be stuck at a McDonald’s then I would definitely recommend this job. I have worked in fast food before and I have never been treated well except for here. I work at the one on simcoe st n in Oshawa

No matter how many times it was brought up to the boss management still was terrible to deal with. No issues were ever changed like the fact that dishes we being put away dirty, then I got a talking to because I was "taking too long to do them" and then wasn't scheduled again after my 2 weeks. Overall I hated working there and maybe it was just my location but it's ruined all fast food jobs for me.

The people who love the food and the staff that prepares it.

Getting all the food and condiments ready on time can be a challenge.

Very good. We laughed a lot, but worked hard

Making burritos, quesdilla,  tacos, and bowl

 Everything is easy.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
To be honest not any day is typical for me at work. I always doing work by heart and enjoying the work.

Honestly the worst job I’ve ever had, the owners treated their staff with no respect. They took away our paid breaks but expected us to stay AND work during them?! When you request time off they only schedule you on the day you requested off so you get 0 hours. If I can recommend anything it’s don’t work at bar burrito Bowmanville 


Fast paced and fast grasping of food wrapping and cooking skills needed to fulfill the customer needs. Proper standard cooking protocols should be followed to maintain the quality of Barburrito all over the world.

Easy kitchen to manage, however a lot of cons if you have a bad team. 
Franchises you might get a good manager.
The job itself is very basic and simple, but you are likely the only person who actually cares about the restaurant and the quality of food you put out. 
Very had to maintain food safety standards with a bad team.
