Bargains-Group

Working within the field of design marketing at Bargains Group is a great new experience for me. The company is very flexible with timing, both in-office and remote work, which is convenient. The current projects I enjoy doing include designing logos and branding promotions, creating social media posts, digital prints, and understanding the concepts of user experience of the company’s website.

The workplace team in Bargains Group is very welcoming, casual, easy-going, diverse, friendly, supportive, and fun. Occasionally the work team of Bargains Group organise fun events during holiday seasons, and big feasts of days of appreciation. My colleagues are very kind, supportive, and watch over my well-being during meetings and productivity.

The manager of the company is especially helpful to me, not only when settling in the social enterprise environment as a new experience for me, but has also helped me to settle in Canada in general. Proving me advice, assistance, and building new connections with people, both within and outside of Bargains Group. The manager is very kind, understanding and ambitious, who teaches me the importance of communication, writing reflections, and being transferable with new skills. 

As a Marketing student studying at one of Toronto’s renounced colleges and having the honor of being a Blogging and Article Writing intern at Bargains Group gave a great working experience in the workplace. The moment I arrived on the very first day, it was very welcoming, diverse, supporting and fun setting up fun events such as one of the kits packing events as well as this year’s Halloween event. One project that I enjoy doing was this year’s Halloween blog post

The supervisor from Bargains Group is very kind and gives helpful advice to improve my workflow and projects such as structuring the blog post step by step and other writing related task


Working at Bargains group showed me a passion I hold dear to my heart and that is helping others. Creating logos for t-shirts for Catholic school students, to creating business card designs. I had the privilege of participating in events such as "Project Water" and "Project Winter Survival" which were fundraising events to help the homeless in Toronto, and the GTA during the peak season of the summer, and winter. The hardest part of the job was finding more "diversity" to the work given.

Busy busy and busy....work hard, laugh, have fun and work hard again.  Working hard to help those less fortunate is so impactful. Love to have the opportunity to help so many in a day.  Hard work in the warehouse but this company does such great thing!!!  Highly recommend! 

It is not a bad place, but be careful if you try to find an inclusive environment this is nor the right place, it can be toxic sometimes, the people relartionship compensate the deficient in other areas.

Not a lot care for employee satisfaction. More or less looking to use people.
Owner is a know all. Not looking to listen to employee opinions or transform processes to suit modern needs.


Terrible place to work. Wage is minimum. Alot of work and cheap employer with no raises. Save time,Look elsewhere.  Employer plays favourites and doesnt care about employees at all. The turnover rate is extremely high.

This internship gave me the opportunity to experiment with different management aspects and also had a chance to volunteer at the company's annual event.

Everybody was welcoming and inclusive, they treated all customers like family not just clients. It was a relaxed environment where everyone got along.
