Baseball Ontario

This is a great first job for many kids. You can start when you are only  10 years old, and can work your way up to umpire national games. While I did not pursue that option, it is open to everyone. You get paid by game, not hour. The usual pay is between 20 and 50 dollars a game, depending on the level. For a two hour game, that range from 10-25 dollars an hour! There are not many jobs available for kids 10-16 that pay more than that.

A normal game that i ump is about an hour and a half it goes by pretty quick.
I learned to take charge of a situation.
My managment is great they are really nice and they helpy you when ever you need it.
The hardest part about this job is sometimes it is really hot outside.
The most enjoyable part of this job is meeting new people and sometimes the coaches are very friendly.

Strong personalities. Umpire salary across all leagues needs to be adjusted to inflation. Whole system needs redesign. Yearly clinics to keep your Umpiring level are not feasible for people who work full time. No reason training cannot be made available online.

Very fun experience but sometimes can be boring but the energy from the crowd and being able to watch the games while working as a cashier is very fun.

Was fun quick money but got tiring fast having to deal with sport parents (which are the worst) but the company was always great paid well and on time let you chose which days you could take games. Great summer job for anyone

If you like baseball and want part time work, there is no better job to have. It is extremely rewarding for the hours worked especially if you are an experienced umpire.

It was fun working for a sport that I also enjoyed playing, it is a good opportunity to advance and learn about this sport, and it also made me more social and confident as a person.

I loved the job at baseball Ontario. It was an entertaining job as well as enjoyable. A job like this is hard to come by and I was greatfull for the opportunity.

great experience  loved working with various people from the team to coaches and parents . lots of feedback given to umpires where strengths were and areas to improve on and rules

Working as an umpire is generally a good job. You learn to improve confidence as well strong decision making skills. Days can be hot but the work itself is not that intense
