Clients were incredible, most support workers were great and hard working. Management couldn't be bothered to actually help in any situations. They easily pointed fingers without actually helping with short staffing. They couldn't even be bothered to come in when they were short handed. Few good managers, upper management was not good and the politics were ridiculous. I get they have work to do too but when you'd walk into the building they'd be sipping coffee and laughing together but they could not be bothered actually trying to help around the group homes when they were severely short staffed. Than they say it's the staff who were the issue, but good management keeps good staff. Management needs PR training, as well as mental illness training ontop of mental disability training. Benefits were incredible, wages were poor for the work that the staff actually do. They do the work of 3-4 people and get $15-$16 an hour to start. It is not worth your mental health, even for the clients and benefits. 

Loved working with the clients and co workers, but you are literally so overworked. If you want a life good luck. You are constantly getting guilt tripped into working, meanwhile the managers get every single weekend and holidays off, never helping out.  Can’t keep staff for the life of them. You work with alot of different personalities. Some nice and friendly, some not so much. If your attacked or hurt management in the office will always find away to blame the staff not dealing with the real problems. Need a brand new management team in the offices who will actually deal with the issues instead blaming staff for everything and help deal with things themselves or come up with better solutions.. you know like actually coming to the houses and dealing with the issues themselves. If they actually showed they cared for their staff and wellbeing maybe they would actually keep staff. 

This job could be amazing if the company actually cared for the staff and clients.
They give different start out pay to different people. Even when people have no experience. 
So if you're looking to work here ask for your worth in pay.The clients are amazing, coworkers are also amazing but the lack of management support makes burn out real. 
They say it's good when people quit as they are weeding out the people that are not cut out for the job but it's sad, I believe many people are amazing at the job but the support needed for staff is not given leading to burn out and staff leaving.
I think this company puts more effort into looking like a good and caring company than it actually is.

none  , the wage was cheap an they absolutely CARED ZERO for staff and clients

not followed , staff arriving at work being hi , staff swearing in clients homes

stressful.  wasn't sure what kind of day it was goin to be , either by my manager or by other staff

Not enough opportunities for aboriginal people treated differently excluded from activities

Meds morning routines shopping and prepping for meals

Being hired for my work experience, fresh outlook  then told to be quiet and do my job by management, very unprofessional. Not allowed to ask any questions or question anything without being shut down or reprimanded. Horrible working experience. 

I worked with individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, FASD, and other cognitive and emotional impairment/delays.  My goal was to maintain the best quality of life for these individuals based on their Individual Program Plans.  From personal care, to coaching/mentoring positive behaviour, and outings out on the town.

Bea Fisher is a great company, but is ran horribly. The people you work with are incredible but you will be overworked and underpaid and under appreciated. 
The job can be stressful and relaxed, depending on the day / group home you work in. You will almost 100% be yelled at or physically attacked by clients. 

If someone forgot to perform their task the next person in line assuming the job they are supposed to do but missed doing it gets  the note from management.  Salary is not at all competitive.  Lower rank personnel absorbs the brunt for the upper level people. 

The clients are the main reason people stay working here. Lots of departments, government overlooks our value, helping them succeed at daily life helps feel fulfilled at the end of the day.
