An uncertain future for the company left everyone I worked with waiting to be shown the door, this caused poor morale and was never addressed by management. Generally everyone is pretty nice but the nature of the brand brings in some who tend to gossip in a high school type manner about other employees, some gossiping even occurred from higher up management. Generally a very casual work environment, but this often lead to poor sales performance. When I worked here I was younger and learned a lot about just keeping your head down and doing the work, but I also made a few friends I still know today. Overall a lot of standing around waiting for customers and constantly re-cleaning the already spotless store to appear busy. Overall not bad at all looking back but also not a stimulating or rewarding job. If you're seeking a retail job there are probably better but you could do worse, just be prepared to see the managers send 3 employees to pounce on the one customer who walks in every 30 minutes and drive them out. It could have changed a lot since I was there and my location might have been an anomaly so look into what others say about your prospective location first.

I was very happy to be employed with this company. I had a great store manager and awesome sales staff we all got along great and worked well together. Formed some great friendships that will continue in the future.

Management is a mess, they underpay you, managers will scream, yell and manipulate you. Sales are almost always stolen. They will go in and change your clock out times etc... Everyone I worked with has has the same experiences  (polo park) their mental health deteriorated

The pace really varies. During weekdays, it's usually very quiet unless it's a holiday. It gets really busy and exhausting during Boxing Day and Black Friday, and or Christmas shopping seasons. The work environment is pretty nice in general. It's air-conditioned.

i was mostly kept in the back, recieving stock, taking them out of their bags, and placing security tags on them, and then either stocking them in the back, or puty them out on the floor for display.

Bench is kind of a small clothing store so there isnt much of work and you have good co workers who are quite friendly and are trained nicely and given experience in a professional manner

Poorly managed, unfair rules and standards, odd and inconsistent hours...managers are quick to believe and defend customers, over their own "trusted" staff members.

vert minimal shifts available per person, and very strict with no-shows. besides that it was a great place to work at with even more amazing people to work with.

it was a good place to work out. good environment, customers were pretty good although there were some aggressive ones. would recommend for people looking to get into the retail field.

Always in call never actual shift work for 6 months, until they removed me from the schedule but didn't let me go until I just ended up quiting and getting a better job :)
