This is a wonderful company to work for. The team work is exceptional and I always feel supported and continuously growing and changing for the better. I love that I keep learning new things and getting to work with different community programs with all the different contracts Bloom has. In the last year the company has grown so much and extremely proud to be part of the team.  I don't feel stuck with no change in site like my previous employer. Bloom is constantly trying to make things easier and better for it's employees.  They take suggestions seriously and are continuously working on making things better both for it's staff and it's clients. I have never gotten any complaints from clients, everyone is always so satisfied with the service.  The management team are all super supportive and we can depend on each other and always help each other out. Never had any issues with any member of management. They are a great bunch. I would say that it's like a family - we all just get along and work so well with each other. We are also always celebrated come birthday and work anniversary. It's important to feel appreciated and part of a team because we spend so much of our time working.  I feel more compelled to put in OT and ensure things get done to help the company excel because you will get to grow with them! Definitely a superb opportunity! 

I've been working with Bloom Care Solutions for almost 2 years, first as a Supervisor then a Manager, and I really enjoy being a part of the "difference" we make in the community. Bloom has grown exponentially and can be very busy at times, but it's an extremely rewarding job, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of this growth and success. We have a fantastic team, not only the office staff, but the field staff are equally as amazing. There has not been a day that I have felt unsupported by our Team, from the Care Pros, to the Coordination Team, the Admin Staff as well as Senior Management. 
Probably one of the most satisfying things, for me, about working in this industry and for this company, would be the expression of appreciation and gratitude we get from our clients (and their families) everyday. They are genuinely grateful to have first-rate care/caring from our Care Pros (PSWs), at a time they most need the help. Our Care Pro's are incredible. 
The next best thing I love about working with this company is that we are a "Team" (with branches in Toronto & Kitchener) that supports each other, and we all care.... that's why we do what we do. 
On a fun note the office also has a ping pong table, to step away from the work for awhile to play a quick game/s, whenever the urge arises.


I have been an employee at Bloom Care Solutions for some time now and I have to say working here is a pleasure. The most enjoyable part of my job is that I am constantly surrounded by support, encouragement, positivity, and wonderful coworkers. Working at Bloom, we have the privilege of voicing our opinions, thoughts, and ideas and there has never been a time that those have gone unheard- something that I have not quite had at other places of work. Despite everyone's busy schedules, management always makes time to check-in and support me and my team's needs. The workplace culture is great, we are always receiving positive messages from the CEO and we get to do fun activities that allow us to break from work, have some fun, and connect with our coworkers. During my time here I have been able to foster meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime all while having the opportunity to grow and build my career! Bloom is also amazing because of the innovative technology. We have the opportunity to learn so much while still being focused on human-based traits that technology can't replace which separates us from the rest!

The hardest part about the job is that the pool of PSW is very diluted making it difficult to claim shifts, since it’s first come first serve basis. PSWs are hired if they have a pulse, breath, and certificate.

Schedules are not guaranteed. You’re competing with over 100+ PSWs for an 8 hour shift because you need to respond ASAP to claim a schedule. PSWs are basically pawns. Coordinators/Schedulers couldn’t care less about the hours you’re receiving. You’ll hear a lot of families complain about the quality of care their family receives because there are so many PSWs employed and covering shifts that need to be filled. You can lose a shift in an instant and coordinators wouldn’t do much to make up for lost hours as it is never guaranteed. 

Working here is like waiting for a bread to toast in the toaster~ you’ll never know when a shift (bread) pops up.

The pay is good. it's the highest i've seen in the area. 20 (+3$ covid raise). My biggest problem is that they don't directly schedule you. they send out mass emails to the 500+ psws they have employed and the first person to answer is the person to get it so if you aren't checking your emails you won't find work. so it's stressful. if a client doesn't need you anymore there won't be anything lined up for next week, you have to find a new client that fits your schedule yourself and sometimes you won't be able to find the right one or won't be the first person to answer so you can go weeks without work.

When you are not mobile, it's stressful moving from one client to another 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very healthy. The administrative staffs are super excellent and our clients are very friendly

Bloom is truly an extortionary company who supports growth and development. I'm proud to be part of an amazing management team who truly cares about their employees and the clients we service. I'm grateful to have an amazing team of PSW's who strive to provide the best care experience for their clients. Bloom is one of the best teams I have worked with in my 14 years of nursing where I feel I can be transparent with my thoughts and ideas. Bloom has revolutionized the homecare sector!

Cons: Under paying for the work you are expected to do in non-management roles. High turnover. Minimal training. Disengaged management that lacks accountability. Draining environment if you are simply not “liked” by the wrong person/people. Lack of genuine support to help you thrive and grow. Company is over zealous for new clients and projects which results in staff being over worked. 

Pros: Job itself isn’t bad. Clients are lovely and you’re working towards a good cause. Good benefits. Good if you want the experience on your resume. 

I am happy to be associated with Bloom Care Solution in a mutually-beneficial working relationship. They have a professional Management style that provides promptly for the needs of employees. They attends promptly to employee concern proposing various workable options while allowing staff to choose the one that best suited for her situation. 

This company misleads you to working there thinking that the job is great, staff dumps all of their work onto you. Staff does not support you, eager to train supervisors to fire PSWs. Not a friendly workplace, would not recommend working here. Staff expects you to drop everything and work at any time of the day or night.
