Overall good place to work, with a good pay and benefits. You work four 12 hour shifts days or nights with four days off in between your rotation. Job can be either boring or extremely busy and stressful, depending on what line or department you’re in. Extremely hot in the factory during the summer. Blue Triton recently took over from Nestle, since then the care for employees has dropped. Bare minimum staffing with maximum expectations from management. They wait until our busiest time of year to bring in new people for the summer, which makes it hard to train them properly as experienced operators are busy. Will waste money on unnecessary things and then operators suffer. Since Blue Triton took over the standards have dropped significantly, machinery is all in poor condition now. Main priority is getting cases on to trucks. Forklift drivers are running a machine, loading trucks and supplying a line (or multiple) all at the same time, can be extremely stressful for inexperienced drivers and many don’t last long. There are 4 different crews and depending on the crew you’re on, most of the people are friendly and will help you if you need it. Operator job isn’t very hard depending on what equipment you’re running, the 12 hour shifts can be really tiring though. Overall Blue Triton is a good place to work, good people, good pay and benefits, and a good balance of 4 days working 4 days off. Be prepared for extreme heat in the summer, and understaffing with pressure from management.

The favouritism and the fact that they treat their hardest workers like garbage and their non productive workers like gold

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very toxic, people are judgmental and they don’t work as a team. If you are not in the managers good books in any way you are treated unfairly, they act like you’re not good enough. It is the kind of workplace where you just want to go to work and socialize with no one.

A typical day would just try to work as hard as I can

After working there for 18 months come in on their overtime even when they are short staffed look after a department train new employee save their backsides on miss tagged lds (6) which saved them money on returned lds and time in sorting lds have great 6 month evaluation no late time no taking time off no incidents at all you come into work and get walked out and no reason given to you and person you train and fix their mistakes takes over your job rely place I really want to work no job security what's so ever just saying!!!!!!

I've been with this company for almost 7 years, having started my career as a production operator.  I will say that this is a great place to work.    When it comes to things like job security, great pay, a good benefit package (which includes a pension), and a team based setting with a good culture, this might be what you are looking for.  There are opportunities for development & advancement for those who are motivated.  The job can be stressful at times, but also very rewarding.  

I worked as a temp for Nestle until I had an accident which caused me to be unable to walk, If the accident had not have happened i would still be working there, however now that I have had time off I feel the need to gain experience in different job environments. While i worked there I honed my skills as a forklift driver at the end of a production line, and within a busy warehouse. It is because of this i was able to learned to deal with adverse situations quickly and efficiently.

Prepare for absolutely no work life balance when accepting this job 12 hour shifts take a toll mentally and physically. Keep in mind someone is always watching you when working. A new employee will get the short end of the stick on most occasions. While guys are out having smoke breaks every hour and talking to managers you better be working. They want you working scared and stressed they justify this by giving you four days off. The rotating schedule is killer mentally and physically. But hey the pay is ok. I

The company was at one time a great company to work for.  They had all the right leaders. All the right passion that made a great company and a leader in the industry. Now they have all the wrong leaders in place, chasing numbers, 
no consideration or respect for employees and their lives... Its all about the bottom line dollar. If your considering this company for a career, unconsider it.  You'll end up being a number and an expense to this company which once things go backwards, you'll find yourself on the losing end.

The hope branch is TOXIC  it's like a high school  full of teenagers with no maturity level what so ever they all talk negative about one another stab each other in the back it's a toxic culture there Especially in the docks/Warehouse.
There is no one to teach you your job properly you will be set up to fail immediately. The management is horrible and uncaring to  the workers.
So Just stay away from this place they will try to lure you in with money just stay away its not even worth the gas money to get there.

Good benefits, fast paced environment.
Poor management, blames employees for issues that should be addressed at a higher level. 
Favoritism abounds at this location.
If you are looking for a decent wage without the security of full time, and don't mind giving them every free hour of your life, but being expected and guilt tripped into giving more, then this is the place for you.

Some of the people are great, and that makes it easier to work your 12 hour shifts. 
No day is ever the same, but politics and blame games abound.

Typical day at work is working on the floor/office with teams, managing people, HR tasks, performance reviews, KPI monitoring. Most enjoyable part of the job is people. There are some great employees in the team who are with company for more than 15 years. Great opportunities for young leaders out there who wants to explore different areas of business. Their LDP program allows fresh graduates to become leaders of future in multiple areas such as Safety, Quality, Production, Maintenance and Warehouse.
