The place has great workers but management just tells you what you want to hear. Their hands get tied as upper management needs to approve of things but they're far too clueless to ever make a decision. 
You start at a base wage, as time goes on you're given more responsibilities with the notion that if you do well you'll get a raise. They give you a time frame and just change the time frame further and further back again saying it'll come soon but it never does.
You're told not to rush but yet everything needs to be done now.

I'm sure Blue Water Group treats their employees well elsewhere but the NL branch is just ignored. They wonder why a union is going in, it's no fault of middle management on site but only the upper management that has failed time and time again to compensate the good workers there who put their blood and sweat into their work.

If you want to make EI wages for more than full time hours while being considered as ''on contract'' for a few years without any raise or bonuses then this is the place for you!! Be responsible for items worth millions of dollars for a couple of dollars more than your local McDonald's worker. The stress isn't nearly worth it although they tell you there's nothing to stress about. By far busier than offshore rigs or any warehouse on the island hands down.

If you want a career stay clear of this place, upper management lies lies lies.

Company expects alot for very little to nothing in return for its employees. Constant staff turnover is a direct result of poor management and lack of leadership. Between the company and management. I've been a manager and supervisor with alot of years experience in supply chain management and inspirational leadership of employees. The lack of compensation in a poor hourly rate is an insult to professional supply chain workers everywhere. They will continue this downward trend until corporate greed is put aside and the staff are compensated properly. The transportation issues is brutal you are literally stuck at work being forced to take work vehicle in a ride share deal. If you have a family emergency your stuck. Wages should be between $25 to $30 an hour with class 3 driver making $35 this is the average medium rate for these service and jobs in the cold Lake Alberta oil and gas industry 

I never reviewed companies from before. But this place is just the absolute worst. They treat employees so bad. Acting like you lucky to work here..The Ops Manager and Bulk Manager made huge mistakes that people know about. But somehow always trying to shift the blame on other people. Micromanaging employees that got way more experience than them. CHEAP on PPE. Takes months just to get the proper gear for work. Takes them 3hrs a least to offload 1 truck. Costing the company thousands of dollars. The Bulk Manager always gossiping about something or someone. Fabricate stories. If you drop a pen a 9:59am the whole company will find out at 10:00am. The environment is just not for a regular person. With how lil you getting paid this job is just not worth all the headaches.

Management a this Bulk Plant is just not Normal. Employees are being treated so bad that People quit left and right..
-Since Bulk Plant Manager got promoted to Operations Manager. This place is just getting worse and worse every day. No People Skills, No Leadership Skills or Sympathy towards any Employees.
-Lead Before now Bulk Plant Manager, No Experience, Panic about every little thing, Tell on Everyone about anything & can't make a decision by himself. He the main reason No one wants to stay at this place. A job in your life is really important. You spend most of your time at your job. But honestly this Place wont get you happiness, wont get you respect or Money. Hope this review was help to anyone looking for a good place to work.

This company is headed for absolute disaster. They currently have the warehouse contract at Kearl, but only because they underbid. To compensate, they do not pay their employees a decent wage, don't provide any training, and do not provide proper equipment to get the work done. 

The work environment has the lowest morale I have ever witnessed. Almost every single employee is actively looking for another job as they are simply miserable in their current role. They cannot keep decent workers as they do not care about anyone's mental health. Turnover is constant.
 
Management needs a serious wake up call, they have no idea what they're doing. Embarrassing and  atrocious management. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The last bing at camp was free and the food was also free 
The money was just fair

I was put in a position where I was supposed to get training but never received much and then asked to just wing it

Very very unorganized 
Very backstabbing people 
They tell you one thing that’s going to happen but don’t follow through 
Safety is like you play by the rules but I don’t have to??
No training 
Training takes a lot of months to happen

Management seems incapable of managing time and focusing on task at hand. Nothing is done in a timely manner because everything is 5-10% started. Bulk manager will throw the lead hand or the employees under the bus for mistakes. Manager never takes responsibility or criticisms. Two faced/Badmouthing is a common practice. Employees are not respected. They will treat you like you are dumb. Yes man mentality is a MUST. Management will leave new employees unsupervised. Training is watch and learn style. Do not rely on management to have your back. Raises are inflation only. No explanation for termination. Employees quit or are terminated within 1 year. Pay attention to how many green hats. 

Do you enjoy incompetent management that will micromanage your daily tasks? This is the place for you. There is no advancement and the toxic work environment will make you want to quit daily.  There is severe favouritism and unless you can get into that “group” good luck with any requests to supervisor. The positive is the 14/14 schedule where you can drink yourself almost to death on days off to try to forget that you spent the last 2 weeks in jail and in 2 weeks time you are going back.  The pay is horrible compared to other contractors on the site and is barely a living wage. There is no or very little training and it’s learn as you go and figure it out. 

I wouldn't recommend this Place for NOBODY..
The Vibe is just Off..Drain your Positive energy. Management are their for themselves. Everything good that the Company has to Offer they can Get but you Can't.
Most of the time you'll skip Lunch & Breaks because its crazy Busy..Meanwhile the Bulk Plant MANAGER goes out to get lunch for himself!!!! RULES and Process Change every time in their Favor. The Drivers that come down don't like the place because of the Management ATTITUDE..if you Look hard enough you can find a better place than this....In 3 months 5 Employees QUIT...

No matter how hard you try or how much effort you put in, corporate management (based out of NS) will question everything you do, how you did it and why it didn't get done faster despite the fact that they have no idea what actually goes on day to day. they have no involvement with any step but they certainly have opinions about every step. it's a fine place to work if you need the work but as soon as literally anything else comes along, take it, for the sake of your mental health, move on from this place as fast as you can
