Boathouse Eatery

The Boathouse Eatery is a great place to work. They train you very well and make sure you understand your tasks. They will also continue to teach you and provide new experiences if you wish. Working there you well meet new friends, and if you stay long enough it will feel like you are family. The environment at the Boathouse is very welcoming, happy and loving, you will not feel out of place at all.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It was horrible, You are not treated with respect at all. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The Boss + other Staff, It is not a good place. and their is mice 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not good, When unable to work it was like it was the end of the world. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go their beyond early to prep for the day, begin serving food. but their was always hate during the days

Typical days at work were always fast paced and you were constantly moving around constantly; as you should. The owners and most of management are amazing. Hardest part of the job was when co workers were not doing their job in the first place making it harder on you or when the kitchen got overwhelmed and customers got angry. Most enjoyable part of the job was the people who worked there. Even though it was work, I was always excited to see who was going to be in that day.

The position gave me experience in the food service industry, allowing me to develop valuable skills that i can apply to all my future job positions. The position allowed me to further develop my communication skills, learning how to communicate effectively with a team to ensure that all parts were running smoothy and customers were satisfied.

I started working all shifts and was approached by the management to become a Manager on Duty after 3 months on the job.  There were a large number of young employees and I had built a good relationship with all of them.  I was a server/MOD for several years and eventually went to Monday thru Friday 11am until 5pm which suited my family schedule.  I loved that the owners recognized my efforts.

Boathouse Eatery was a fast past restaurant in the summer we would have people waiting for hours to be seated. In order to have little to no problems or disorganization as a hostess time management and communication is key to continue with the best flow possible.

Boathouse is just filled with high school drama. They never have enough staff or when they do they cut your section to nothing and leave you with very little. The only good thing is the bar staff is actually decent. 

Was one of the best jobs I ever had. Only worked two summers but was willing to go back before I moved away. Would recommend this workplace to anyone that is truly interested.

Amazing summer job in the heart of beautiful Georgian bay.  As a bartender you will get in the weeds but if you are good at your job you should handle it fine.  Tips to bar kind of lack now that there is no nightlife. 

No reason for leaving was just my time great place great food and even better bosses!  Awesome place to work for the summer or longer. There like a big family will treat you very well!
