While the company presents itself as a close-knit, family-run business, the reality is that it operates on outdated systems, poor communication, and deeply rooted nepotism that sidelines actual talent and effort.

Wages are well below industry standard. Raises were never discussed or offered. When I brought it up, I was told directly by the VP that “if we paid everyone their worth, the company would go bankrupt.”

There is no structure for growth, recognition, or performance management — only a confusing and demoralizing mix of shifting expectations. Loyalty is not rewarded. The longer you stay, the harder it becomes to transition elsewhere.

Regard for employee well-being is non-existent. HR is unprofessional and ineffective. Key decisions are made without transparency or clear strategy. Priorities shift constantly. One week something is urgent, the next it’s forgotten — and employees are left to figure it out.

As an employee, your ideas will be ignored and your contributions will be undervalued. Roles and responsibilities mean nothing — you’re expected to drop everything and take direction, regardless of your position.

When the former owner retired and his son took over, there was initial optimism for modernization and change. In reality, the same top-down, dismissive culture continued, with no meaningful investment in people or process.

There’s no career path, no leadership accountability, and no internal support systems. Just endless scrambling to meet whatever the latest priority is — until it changes again.

Avoid working here if you can.

I just have to say, as a former employee of Braber Equipment, if you are one of the people on here saying that this is a dead end job and that you didn’t get your just dues or that you’ll never be promoted because you’re not a family member etc.., you should face the fact that you probably just weren’t that good.  Why would a company hire someone just so they can fire them? That makes absolutely no sense, so if you were hired and then let go, accept that there was a reason for that and your work was less than satisfactory.  This isn’t a dead end job for people who show promise and ambition and drive and leadership. If you’re someone who does a good job and is an asset, there is room for growth and at the very least, you’ll maintain a position with the company at a competitive rate. This company is growing every day so there will always be room for growth for those that deserve it. Just face it, you didn’t make the cut. Instead of blaming everyone and everything for your unfortunate circumstances, maybe try taking a little personal responsibility for your outcome in this situation. (I promise you’ll make it further in this world if you do.) I love BE Group, it’s a great company and I would encourage anyone to join their team. They are good people who are look to grow and expand with a very large family of staff that have been a part of the team for many years. By the way, this is coming from someone who has no vested interest in this company, nor am I a relative.

Braber Equipment is a great place if you’re looking for a company where your ideas actually matter, you just need to stand up and put in the effort to explain your thoughts and concepts. It’s not just about having good ideas; it’s about communicating them clearly and showing how they can make a difference.

The team is supportive, and management is open to listening, especially if you can back up your ideas with solid reasoning. The company is also working hard to build a culture of continuous improvement and is starting to adopt lean methodologies. This makes it an exciting environment for people who like problem-solving and finding better ways to do things.

The pace can be fast, and there’s always something new happening, but that’s part of the fun. You’re not stuck in a routine. You get opportunities to learn, grow, and really make an impact.

Overall, Braber Equipment is a great choice if you want to be part of a team that values input and is focused on shaping the future. Kanpai!

Don’t waste your time applying here. 
Management asks staff to write positive reviews to save face on this site. 
Don’t count on “management“ supporting you, they can barely manage themselves. 
“HR” is hardly ever in the office - maybe 12 hrs a week. 
I saw a remark about “why would they hire you, just to fire you”... owner doesn’t understand how people work. It’s rare to ever see a review, let alone a raise. Rather then trying to coach staff, owner would rather fire. Firing tends to happen spontaneously. No coaching, no write ups.
Owner wants his hands on the wheel and direction of the company, but enjoys spending weeks to months on end vacationing away from the business. When he is gone, “management” hides behind closed doors. Nothing is ever truly accomplished, as you don’t know when you’ll be pulled off of one project and slapped onto another “urgent” project. 
You can be 10 minutes early to work, and leave 10 min after - management wouldn’t notice as they don’t walk in until 8:05 and run out the doors at 4:25. 
Better off to look elsewhere if stability and sanity is key.

Most people are helpful and pleasent to work with; however, some individuals seem to have absolutely no interpersonal skills whatsoever. Coworkers are frequently collaborative with each other and encouraging. 

Management:
Some Managers work hard and have little to no time to give employees clear direction, others seem to wander the entire day and have no clue as to what they are doing.
Hierarchy is also not very clear, overall.

Work environment:
We have a 10 min break, twice a day which is cool. We also have donuts on Fridays! 

Wage:
You will not be well paid, and you won’t have regular reviews. You may get a small raise, if and only if you ask for it. 

Tasks and projects:
You must be willing to perform multiple tasks, even when they do not pertain to your department. It is part of the firm culture and expected. You will not be properly trained. You will learn on the fly. 

Overall it’s a good place to work at.

This Company has a People Managing problem which is evidenced by the high turn over rate.The work culture is toxic, which cascades from the top down. Donut Friday does not entitle Management/Senior Employees to treat Junior Team Members how ever they choose. Equal Work for Equal Pay is a false notion here, as well as "Great Communication". If what your saying isn't comprehended communication doesn't amount for much. 
There are a handful of very happy employees, as evidenced by the "paid for reviews" but I suggest seeking employment elsewhere.

I worked for Braber Equipment / BE Pressure Supply for four years and had a very good experience. If you work hard, do a good job, show ambition and have a good attitude there is always room for growth in the company. I was promoted four times in three years. My coworkers were the best group of people I have ever worked with; upbeat, very friendly and efficient. I was always treated very well by management and I have always found them to be fair. They were very graceful and supportive of me when I was going through some personal issues and I really appreciated that. I’m no longer with the company, but would be happy to be a part of the team again in the future if the opportunity arises.

Braber was an excellent place to work. Management has been solid throughout the years, and the owner deals with everyone fairly. 
Managers are easy going and only expect you to do your best, and are open to ideas.
It should be obvious, but like any job, if you don't show up, or discord all day, you might be unemployed. Through all my years at Braber, I only saw people quit, or get let go for stealing, or for not working. 
I left on good terms, and was able to start my own business with the skills I learned supporting this company.
People only leave bad reviews when they are having a tantrum, great place to work!

The company is filled with workers who all get along well, and who are passionate about their positions.  Management takes the time to work with each division and/or person to help them with any challenges or issues that arise.  There is a sense of empowerment given to the employees to be able to overcome challenges on their own as well, which helps them grow within the company.
Best part of this job is it's an exciting, busy, growing company with many positions and opportunities for growth.

There are a lot of great people at Braber Equipment.  The environment is very friendly and the open concept office is nice.  Coworkers are pleasant and helpful.  There is plenty of opportunity to learn new things, as different departments interact/overlap regularly.  Friday is donut day, and once every couple of months there is a BBQ or pizza day, which is always fun!

New employees must be ready to "hit the ground running" as there is little training.  Pay is extremely low across all departments; raises are few and far between.
