Brampton Brick

I'm not sure where to start. They expect you to know everything. Will never train you, no saftey there, no lock out tag outs. No job security, management does nothing at all. Maybe a great place for a line operator but as for millwrights nope not the place for you to be at. Also if your not a friend to management you have no fighing chance, they would rather benefit on keeping a good friendship then running a business and company. They have terrible sanitation. No communication what so ever.

A typical day at work would be starting at 6am either i would be loading bricks into the machine or taking them out and stacking them onto a skid all different types of bricks ranging from 30 lbs to 85 lbs each.
 I learned how to make adjustment to the grinders also the tumbler to make production run smooth. 
I got along with all the co-workers because i'm very friendly 
The hardest part of the job would be lifting the most heaviest brick/curbs that way up to 93 lbs.
The most enjoyable part of the job is that everyone got along with each other.

Working at Brampton brick for me has been quite the experience. Coming from a warehouse dead-end job., I wasn't sure what to expect. Brampton brick is more than just a job we are a family. Management is fair benefits are amazing. Pension is amazing. Pay is great. Atmosphere is great. Management encourages and nurtures your want to grow and improve. My only con for the company would be training- peek season training is difficult and almost non-assistant. The company is working on making this better.

Everyday was busy always something to do, days went fast never boring. Customers were good to deal with fellow employees always helped each other. The department Director always said hello, he bought lunch a couple times a month. They made me feel needed just not an employee, good pay and benefits. Bonus and turkey at Xmas , easy going atmosphere.

Brampton Brick has helped me pay my way through university allowing me to return each summer as a summer student labourer. Brampton Brick has also given me the work ethic and motivation necessary to succeed in my professional career by teaching me the value of money and the dedication it takes to complete hard, physical labour.

Good place to work if your in good shape allot lifting concrete products and walking back and fourth. Coworks were freindly and helpful. Free coffee tea and hot choclate daily several employee barbaque threw year. Unionized good benefits and yearly bonus.

The work was simple and easy, the other employees were great to get along with and very friendly. The work itself can get boring but the atmosphere and the people make it all worth while.

The daily routine allowed for a modicum of expectation for the shape of the day, but unique in the ability for the unexpected to shape the day. Management was professional and accommodating.

Supervisor was really supportive and patient. I was given many opportunities to learn how to fix and maintain the machinery. It is usually a more relaxed environment, although it can become very busy at times.

Open your computer input data from morning to afternoon get a half hour lunch then input data again.  Same thing over and over. Nothing enjoyable terrible management and very long hours.
