I started with the company as a shop hand and quickly worked my way onto the tools. they promote from within and i've watched that consistently throughout all roles in the company.
The owners are some of the most kind people i've met and they take care of their employees.
Show up every day,  put in good quality work and Management will be very fair and respectful. 
company has a true family feel with a great group of guys out on the floor, lots of fun working with the company and lots to learn here. they work on everything under the sun from trucks to cranes and equipment. 
some very knowledgeable techs here and all the foremen are top notch.
Best part of BDI is the family feel, if you're a good person the company will always work with you no matter what is going on in your personal life

What is the best part of working at the company?
Brandell is a fun place to work and the majority of the crew are good people 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with the Gm , he was my direct supervisor and unfortunately needs to be a lot more respectful to his employees 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The mechanics are a tight nit group and do long as you fit in the environment and culture is great but if you don’t your life will be miserable 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Days are usually busy and go by pretty quick

Little to no time for mentoring, if you are an apprentice trying to learn this is not the place for you, your valid questions will be dismissed due to lack of time from other techs (fast paced environment). The possibility of getting pigeonholed to one sort of task is quite high 
Management has no concern for you although they will tell you otherwise when asked 
Plenty of drama and gossip, favoritism
Pay not the greatest 
High turnover 




This place has a clique and at any moment without notice they will remove you from  it and proceed to make work life very unjoyable. Favoritism is highly noticeable. Hours are long and the additional weekend shifts severely impact family life. You can do everything right and still be fired without notice, resulting in little to no job security and the constant worry of being fired if management is in a bad mood. 

Lots of talent in this shop and everybody seemed pretty approachable and willing to help the new guy. The foreman is a great communicator as well. If you want to test your skills and work with a good crew this is a great shop.

Unable to catch a break. Being micromanaged from the beginning to the end of your day. Leave you alone to be berated by customers. Never get ahead working here. Only back pedalling consistently. 

nice guys, friendly atmosphere
 -ordering/picking up of parts, return of cores and unused parts ( credits ). 
  -came in at 7am, ran debit machine, use tech's notes and added   parts to RO's, bank runs, drop off oil samples for testing, call and have bins empty, ran paperwork to partner

Good crew but you have to prove yourself to them to get in their circle. Management picks obvious favorites and if your not a favorite expect to be put on the worst repairs consistently. Very little room for errors even if you are green 

Overall it was a good job. Some days were difficult as any job is. There is more managers than you would usually encounter at a workplace, taking different orders from each it is hard to choose which is the most important

Seems like a great company but management had no respect for employees that are not in the “inner circle”. Treat green employees terrible and expect green employees to know everything.
