A typical day at work takes place in a warehouse setting from 7:30 am till 4:00 pm. Workers are expected to package and unpack a variety of products or label and inspect products. The instructions are minor, you are given instructions for a task and will perform that task for the rest of your shift. The work is very repetitive and sometimes requires heavy lifting. Co-workers are friendly but are encouraged to refrain from  socializing excessively. The hardest part of the job is the repetitiveness and the simplicity of the tasks. As well the location of the warehouses vary and commuting may be difficult. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting a behind the scenes look at how the different mainly food related products are handled before they are shipped to stores. The management within the warehouses are not much help, the management within Breakaway are very friendly and helpful, but I found unless you sternly express your discomforts or concerns with jobs and salaries your requests will be overlooked. Overall the job is a great learning experience to see how different items are processed, as well as getting to know all the different people which help build upon communication skills.

I worked there as a recruiter and it was the worst job. It’s a simple job, but you have to beg people to work labour jobs at the last minute and the managers will reprimand you if people don’t show up for work as assigned. No one applies for these jobs either and you will also be responsible for that. Management and the overall work environment is toxic. You feel anxious and defeated going to work every day. You are not supported and everyone is for themselves. They also want you to work after you’re scheduled, so don’t make plans after work. The head is autocratic so be prepared for daily meetings in their office where you’ll be yelled at and belittled, but expected to come in the next day for more. Don’t be fooled by the initial friendly interview, that is just to get you through the door. The staff that have been there for a while will throw you under the bus at every opportunity they get so don’t expect them to help you unless it benefits them. Don’t be surprised if your coworker doesn’t show up for work either the turnover there is high for a reason. Don’t buy into the growth promises, everyone that works there with tenure has been working there for a decade in the same position. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, I would rather be unemployed.

A friend told me about Breakaway Staffing Solutions while I was currently working as a Sales Rep for another company. My friend knew the owner of Breakaway and told me that their agency often had Sales Rep positions available that paid well. I kept my eye out and when I saw that they had a position available I went in and had an interview. The position was similar to the work I had been doing but paid quite a bit more. The job was in my area so I thought it would be worth it to interview. In the end I got the job and have been working for the company ever since!

The whole process was very smooth and the transition between jobs was seamless. I'm sure my old employer was sad to see me go but on-ward and upward to bigger and better things!

I am very happy with my experience at Breakaway and would have no problem recommending it to my friends.

a typical day as a general labor consists of sorting stock, inventory counting and building of orders to be delivered 

the job is all grunt work with very little assistance without having to constantly ask managers what to do and if you work independently you are accused of wasting time and slacking off

the owners have no regard for safety and protocol and if any injuries occur on the job they dismiss all responsibility and simply blame the employee there are extremely rude and racist employees who only concern themselves with their paycheck and insist on immaturity and  harassment of other female employees

the hardest part of the job was dealing with all the problems, and never being properly paid for the work done

only thing enjoyable about the job is the early hours

I applied for a job advertised wit a salary range. The description was more for a junior position but the salary range was good so I decided to apply thinking I have even more than the required skills. I got the interview, i was told that my profile was a good fit and my resume and data would be sent to their client and they will let me know about the interview with them . That was the last I heard from this company.
 I called the person who I interviewed with to follow up but all the time he was busy. I tried contacting him by  emails that were never replied.
I understand that there could be many reason why they were not interested on me but al least say it. 
After reading the reviews I see this is a scam company. My recommendation would be to stay away from this company, don’t loose your time.

Breakaway is one of the best employment agencies I found many years ago when looking for jobs.
Great friendly staff always getting back to me for any full time or temporary positions that became available.  They had very few part time positions, but most of the full time positions were permanent if the employee was up to keep the position (steady work performance, etc)
Payment with Breakaway is slightly above average in the industry for the positions I applied for, but much higher than what most employment agencies offered.

I have worked with this agency while going to school for over 5 years. They are well managed and have plenty of work for temporary bases but as well as permanent if employers like your work ethic. Majority of the job wages were well suited for the work required. Management was fun to meet and easy to work with when finding work. The only issue was workplaces were not completely consistent. For example you may work 5 different places everyday of the week. Overall its great for students and for anyone looking for a little extra work here and there.

Employees work in different locations requested by the recruitment specialists. In the the factories, we work with a number of different products that we organize, pack, label, seal and conduct quality control on. Employees work one or more of these task, typically on assembly lines. To get the job done in the best way possible, we have supervisors giving us tasks, and making sure these tasks are done smoothly. The hardest part of this job is that it can, at times, be very labour intensive (doing the same tasks over and over again at a quick pace). The most enjoyable part was communicating and working with other coworkers, which built a warmer atmosphere to work in.

Even with years of experience under my belt in Transportation, to the point that got the Manager to deal with my application himself... After a couple interviews, the only thing that I got was "Salesman speech" and no job! Full BS promises that makes you think that you'll be getting a job next couple days and never got one from them! Even with the company owner being the manager! bragging himself about their experience in providing jobs to people! Basically... Lots of talk and lots of fouling people around! Guess what... I got other recruiter from KAS HR and I'm working already in a matter of less than a week!

the staff at Breakaway Staffing was incredibly friendly and helpful, while working this them I have always felt that they were always working to make sure I succeeded and made it to the job that I wanted. While applying for jobs through Breakaway Staffing I worked mainly with Sharon, she was very helpful, nice and definitely someone I could count on to get me to job I want. Although the application process can take a long time they made sure that I was comfortably the whole time by offering me snacks and drinks. overall  I would recommend Breakaway Staffing to anyone looking to apply through them for a job.
