Worked as a supervisor enjoyed my job did nothing wrong then got fired. Given no excuse and got excorted out. I worked hard but work to life balance sucked never had time to myself. Got home and had to go to bed never got to spend time with people other than at work. Pay was meh and co-workers were great but management play favorites and you fully know you aren't one. Office workers were rude and owner of the company not welcoming. Customers rude and entitled management takes their side even if you get fully insulted. I enjoyed this job but its exhausting. It seems they only hired me for inventory then let me go when it was over. Very disappointed the firing was cold and not understanding didn't even let me speak. I was sick for a little bit and was not even understanding about it and being there you feel judged 24/7. Not ideal at all.

I spent a number of years at Campers Village, and enjoyed the time that I spent there. There is a big focus on using the products that they sell, and being active in an outdoors lifestyle. There is a lot to know about everything there, so if you don't have a genuine interest in it, you may find it a bit difficult to keep it all in mind. The management culture is focused on collaboration, and bringing out the best in each manager's respective team to realize the organizational goals of the company, while also being a customer-centric business. I enjoyed having the freedom to be able to properly educate customers regarding the use of products which they were buying, and doing my part to make sure that they stayed safe and had fun.

We would start with a game, always playing before setting a goal for the day; cards, words, telling stories, etc;
It's not just work, it's a part of life, learned  great communication, support, problem solving;
the manager and the owner and sub managers-all of them were close and always ask about your life and how you are doing, staff is extremely well  taken care of;
fun place to work at, honest, relaxed culture and outstanding customer service given to the customers,
nothing was hard about that job, loved it;
interacting with customers was the most fun, seeing them leave with satisfaction and a happy face and seeing them return

I was the Visual Merchandising Manager at Campers and was responsible for all the seasonal soft goods merchandising.  The job was fast paced, fun and informative. I learned a lot about being active and what type of clothes went with what activity, lots of on the job training as far as what we sell.  I had product knowledge meetings that were informative and interesting.  I worked with a diverse group of people, mostly young, outdoor types.  

The hardest part of the job would be that there was not enough time in the day to get everything done some days and I never like leaving a job unfinished!

Average retail job. Not much room for advancement, managers playing favourites, etc. If you're part time, regardless of how many hours you ask for, expect to be scheduled just under 30. There's really good pro-deals and discounts and training/other coworkers are fun, but the management isn't great.  I've worked a lot of retail jobs and the customers here are by far the rudest, most entitled people you meet and management will always take their side.

Campers was really good to me. I moved up quickly as was compensated fairly with every bump up. The discounts on products will have you spending most of your paychecks though.
Campers needs to utilize its employees when making large decisions *uniforms*. They aren't inclusive of the little guys when they could have really benefited from  their opinions

Promised department position but was never given the position . They gave good training but they pushed everyone too hard to make sales. This stressed out all the employees and made this postion nor fun at all. I quit a month in and now work at a better company with the same position and better wage.

Very chill job, don't expect a lot, try to apply for advancement as soon as you get in, if you're interested. If not you'll be doing sales a LONG time. 

Assuming its the same management as in 2015, they care most about not being bothered. Take the hint and don't bother them. 

Will bring in lots of cool speakers to talk about the different brands.

The General Manager and Store Manager not taking employees safety seriously.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was unsafe and toxic.

 I’ve worked at big Corporations in the past and Breathe is a literal breath of fresh air. Management is very understanding and fun to work for, I have a great team etc. I wish I had more then a 30 minute break during my entire 8 hour shift since you get pretty tired fast but if that’s the only down side I can’t complain.
