Starting off at this company I thought it would be a great place to work. They tell you exactly what you want to hear in the interview and once the job starts, your duties are much different. There is very little work/life balance. The managers are great with giving you a day off if you need it but schedules don't go out until Fridays for the following week so good luck planning a life. Once they pick up orders/deliveries or events last minute you have to work your life around that so your schedule is always subject to change. If you end up working a weekend, your days off will not be consecutive (random day off in the middle of the week). 

As a server you make minimum wage with no tips. They charge clients a "catering fee" which would be a gratuity basically but the company takes that percentage, the service staff don't see any of it. 

The drivers all hate working there - the turnover is so high it's hard for them to keep staff anywhere in that building. They expect so much for a minimum (or just above) wage job. Even the people who work in the office have varied wages - there's a large gap between employees and it's common knowledge (anywhere between $1-5 for similar positions). Since working there until I left, I've seen about 35+ staff go through those doors from drivers, kitchen, casual servers and office staff.

There is no opportunity for advancement in this company. It's a small family owned company even though they have been around for 20 years. 

If you're young looking for a temporary job this may be the place to do it. But don't come here expecting much more.

The owner is very involved in his company, you can tell he really cares compared to most other places. Unfortunately Management has very little faith in the employees they hire and are constantly micro-managing. This has lead to a relatively high turnover with the most of the employees having been there 10+years and the rest having been there less than a year there is clearly no room for career advancement. The product being delivered is great and the kitchen staff are lovely and really care about their jobs as well as doing a good job. There is definitely a better work/life balance than most places but after being undermined all day every day it is hardly worth the low pay.

The interview process was a breeze and they tell you everything you want to hear until you get into the job. I was told this company used to be a very high quality catering place with excellent standards. That wasn't the case when I was there, a high amount of micro managing which leads to believe management doesn't believe in the employees they hire and the quality of product being produced is way under par with the majority of items being taken out of a box and labeled homemade. Attempts made to up the standard and voice ideas to produce amazing product led to positions being replaced. 

Bridges started out as a fun place to work with the goal of learning and growing, but as the years went on, I realized more and more that it is overall quite disorganized, and upper management has major communication issues that make it very hard to enjoy the work days a lot of the time. I also feel I was disrespected most of the time and not recognized for what I can achieve and I was also not paid well even after numerous times of asking for more and more responsibility. 

I enjoy very much working for this company love the people but it is a small business and not a lot of possibility to move up and make more money would love to continue with this type of position but make more money

Great coworkers, I made lots of great friends at Bridges. The hours can be tough with events on weekends and in the evenings, but most shifts are during the day for full time staff. Pay is low compared with industry standard.

Another faced paced environment, management was great co-workers were great knew how to have a good time on the job but also stayed focused on the job and the hardest thing was nothing and the most great thing about this job was going to great locations

Great overall for starting in the industry a lot of training and support systems. 

Not a lot of room for advancement and no bonus structure set in place

great team, very enjoyable

the company takes great care of their employees and strives for excellence. Management takes the time to know you and will work with you complete tasks and help you advance
