I've worked at Britco Pork in Langley since 2014, and unfortunately, the work environment has steadily declined, especially in the past year. Leadership has become noticeably less involved and less supportive. Our current supervisor is frequently absent or leaves early, which leaves the rest of the team to manage a physically demanding workload without proper oversight or guidance. It’s frustrating to see that these issues are visible to upper management, yet there’s no meaningful effort to address them. In my experience, concerns raised by employees are often ignored or dismissed, which creates a sense that management is disconnected and doesn’t value frontline workers. This lack of accountability and support has led to low morale and a toxic atmosphere on the sanitation team.

Horrible place to work with toxic management. Regular employees are good but manager sulk and don’t communicate and expect improvement. They is no work culture or respect at work place. People yell and snatch things out of your hands and these are so called educated people. You are not allowed to even talk or laugh. People seem nice on face but are very toxic. HR has no say in any matter. Payroll manager handles everything there instead of HR personnel. Save yourself from this mental trauma and unnecessary drama. 

Overall the company is good. I learned a lot like dealing different kinds of people. The management is not so good of handling their employees. I easy adopt the culture of the workplace. My first three months of this company is the most hardest part of my job because it is my adjustment period working with different culture and personalities. The most enjoyable part of my job is helping my co-workers and my supervisor tell me to do overtime.

Christmas bonus, that's about it

Everything, the jobs hard for very little pay and respect.

Terrible work environment, no culture

Leaving after 5 hours of work

A fun place to work at. I made a lot of good friends here at work, People are very respectful and supportive, all the Supervisors and Managers as well.

Work is very fast-paced and you need to be on your toes all the time.

The only challenge I had was to travel from a far away location.

After working for this company for 4 years i can say do not work here if you value your free time or sanity, they constantly have you work overtime with no further incentives and the plant manager treats you and everyone else like garbage

Even with covid this company is open and never slow down, they have better union now, management team somehow listen to their employee l. Lots of benefits and bonus.

If I had to summarize my a year of suffering in this place is that, is one of the worst place I have ever work for. After the interview run and never look back at this dump again. 

A place where bithness is the target. The moral of employees has no place. 
Employees quite every day.
Company has corrupted link with union and cfia.
