Broadridge

Broadridge was a great place to work. The environment was very conducive to going above and beyond your responsibilities to see every project to fruition. Everyone has a sense of ownership and a sense of belong and fill with pride. And working very long hours daily and even on weekends if needed be, was a norm.
These feeling were all later eroded when the culture changed from one of free thinking and free to volunteer ideas that could be beneficial to the company, to one that was very stifling and almost dictatorship in nature. From the way management started behaving. It was management for management and management could do whatever they felt like doing to non management associates without any repercussion.
The monthly birthday cake was great and so were the end of proxy season barbecue, Thanksgiving potluck and Christmas Party.
Nepotisn was rampant and getting a promotion was nearly impossible, unless you were very good friends with Sr management  or already a manager. Morale was rock bottom and Sr. Management reaction was if you can't handle it, then get off the bus. And Broadridge became a revolving door for talents. Many came and when they realised what they came into, they couldn't leave fast enough.
Finally, Broadridge bought a sweatshop from Markham and relocated there. Markham had a steadfast custom of back stabbing. Because almost everyone is related to someone in a higher position there, and they work hard to protect that relationship. Resulting in former Broadridge associates being relegated off to nothingness and treated worse than the mats on the floor.
This is how Broadridge has evolved, it always  great place to work, depends on what your position.

Broadridge hired me right after my short consulting contract, at that time I was really looking for work since I had a family to support.

Words can not describe my tremendous appreciation to the company, it is an awesome place, many good, dedicated, hard working people here. If you got the positive attitude and can go extra miles to get the work done, you will be appreciated.

Again I know there are some bad teams and there are some not that great people, like everywhere, but overall people there are very helpful. I was very lucky that all my coworkers are great, all my few managers are VERY good and considerate to me.

The pay is OK, about industry average, the not that great part is production support, you can get called anytime of the night, and in my case, I don't get paid for it. 

You can work from home a lot, once you prove yourself

Now I left the company,after seeing so many good people got let go,  I just prefer a much mrecstable career

Even so, Broadridgers, I will always cheer for you.

Broadridge Financial Solutions offers excellent benefits, diversity and inclusion, and many opportunities to learn new skills on an ongoing basis. Being a self motivated person I was able to take advantage of the many tools offered to me and in turn shared my knowledge with my fellow associates. 

I enjoyed my job immensely as I was in a position to assist and train associates/managers on new tools making their day flow easier and more productive. Creating easy to follow brochures on new processes and tools was highly acknowledged by the business.

I was very confident in my position and found each day less challenging. Being positive and the willingness to always be helpful put the associates at ease. 

In my position I was able to partake in many areas i.e. Helpdesk duties, Change Management, Purchasing, and special projects.

Overall, my time with Broadridge Financial Solutions was a very positive, enlightening experience, one which I will look back on fondly during my professional career. 

My day to day work included liaising directly with a number of clients, providing feedback on their progress reports, while also providing a platform for new client on-boarding. I greatly enjoyed this part of the job as I had the freedom to speak face to face with customers and clients. Harnessing my natural communication skills. 

The culture within the company was one that encouraged questioning, feedback and personal development. We had quite an open plan office that allowed for people to interact and really experience what your colleagues  day to day jobs were. This really made me feel part of the greater team and allowed for great opportunities of promotion within the organisation.

Working for a software vendor to the financial industry. Responsibilities include identifying and developing initiatives to ensure continued enhancement of products.
Working with internal and external clients to design, develop, test, and implement financial software. Extensive testing is required to ensure that development items (both bug fixes and enhancements) meet client requirements.
Conduct of many internal and external information sessions, focus groups, demo’s and general client meetings.
Managing internal and external client expectations relating to software releases and issue resolutions.
Ensure industry standards are met and maintained. Use of Progress to run queries on the database and to read programs to identify existing behaviour and amendments needed as required.

High stress financial services company. Nice colleagues but difficult management. Worked many places before and since but never experienced this level of chaos. Improved my technical skills at the expense of my health and well-being.  Management would actually yell at staff and/or vendors in meetings. 

Introduced us to  "Operating at the speed of trust" but didn't demonstrate those values. Director said they trust but also wanted evidence of overtime, train schedules, etc. 

Very high turnover. I knew I made a mistake in going there in the first week. I toughed it out and eventually got to the point where I stayed at least six months so the technical recruiter that recommended me would be paid.

(In my opinion ONLY) Manager don't know how to manage their area, constantly asking other area staff (always from same area) for help and when you got there, you are the one that does most of the work. There are 3 levels of employment status. This is a US Company, therefore the upper management (this location) they don't know how to keep hard working employees or temporary (agency) staff also they don't know how (again in my opinion) how data are transmitted

As a Project Manager/Senior Business Systems Consultant, I was involved in managing the implementation of mutual fund processing solution for major Canadian banks. The solution includes bookkeeping of trades, updating book cost, fund/user initiated transactions reversals, trade processing of asset allocation and dollar cost average, automated balancing for all money movements, daily/monthly reconciliation process using FundSERV files. Also, lead FATCA project involving changes to securities.

A great place to work cares about and supports its employees while also challenging them to grow with the company. At these companies, managers and their employees trust and respect each other and have a shared commitment to both individual and company success. Great companies try to meet their employees' financial, mental, physical and emotional needs. As a result, employees are often more productive, satisfied and willing to stay at the company long term.

Set up mono's and daily sheet data for the daily insertion mail
Communicate with superiors for any discrepancies on the paper work for the mail insertion
Communicate with coworkers in relation to mail that is no matching or balance
is when I get last minute mail insertion rum and the courier is already in for pick up mail
The most enjoyable part is working with great people in a great company
