Managers and supervisors are supportive and helpful/ flexible. The owner has maintained a great clientele who treat us very kindly and are appreciative of our care of their fur babies. Coworkers work as a team and maintain a collaborative effort in day to day duties and maintenance. The job can vary in seasons between busier days as well as calmer days. Duties vary between cleaning around the facility, making feeds,  taking dogs out for one on one time, walks, and playgroups devided and planned by size, personalities, and age. The duties do require standing and lots of walking, and the odd heavy lifting but overall an amazing place to work, learn, and spend time with the dogs and cats as well as two lovely senior horses.

 I am the new manager and I've worked in the dog industry as an employee for years so I understand how workers want to be treated. 
The girls who work here are all very welcoming and kind. It's a great group of people and I'm very proud to be part of this team. 
It's incredibly rewarding work. The dogs are a lot of fun and the customers are great. It is a lot of work though, fast paced and physically demanding.
The old manager left at the beginning of 2020 and things have changed quite a bit since then! 
The owner of the company is great, very understanding. There's no surprise that she's had a successful business for well over 20 years. 

Management and staff are so friendly and welcoming, they’re always quick to help and teach given all the amazing learning opportunities. Hours are stable, accommodating and healthy. Clients are lovely and the animals are even lovelier. Task/Routine orientated but everyday brings something’s new and exciting. Definitely a lot of heart in this environment. 10/10 would recommend! 

Overal working here was enjoyable, the co-workers were fantastic. It was hard to switch shifts and book days off and such but it wasn't that bad. The worst part about working here was the management, the owner was super nice, but the woman she has as the manager was awful. she treats you horribly, yells and swears at you, and treats you basically as if you are a child who doesn't know what they are doing. Working at Brooklin pet care would be nice if not for the manager.

Getting yelled at the second day by another coworker and was told that’s just normal. 
Also seeing coworkers scream at the dogs. 
I was so excited to step foot in a large facility with dogs and give them all the love and care and attention they deserved.  There were employees I believe I got along with really well and I can tell they also believe in positive reinforcement and compassion. 

Days consist of cleaning & disinfecting indoor and outdoor runs, exercising the dogs in fun play groups, making & distributing food, bathing dogs, light barn work for 2 lovely horses! & taking care of cats as well!
All the girls are so friendly and everyone gets on with each-other well! We all work great together and have fun with the pups. Staff care for the pets very much & the clients are great! 


When I worked there it was always a mess, manager/owner were always down your throat about the smallest things. Never see what you actually do and always what you mess up on. Could barely get days off and don't even think about sick days. The pay is low for the amount of work you do and the hours are short. Had threats of not being paid after certain hours. Last rules change on the regular.

Working at Brooklin Pet Care has been nothing short of amazing. Being able to care for animals all day has been a blessing. The staff go above and beyond to make sure each furry pet is comfortable and cared for! The most enjoyable part of this job is seeing how much fun all the dogs have with their friends! Watching them be able to run and play and be so happy is heartwarming. 

Very fun place to work! 
Great place to learn and get hands on experience with animals. Flexible scheduling for the most part and everyone is very lenient with helping each other out when time off is needed. 
Everyone gets along and it’s an overall happy atmosphere. 
Plus it’s always so heartwarming seeing all the happy pups:)

Work is not physically demanding. The animals are great and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. 
The downside is the rain.mudd and cold the upside the sunshine outside with amazing dogs and friendly banter with other employees
