Before I started this job I was 5000 dollars in debt and was facing eviction. When a fantastic gentleman at Brookstone left me a voicemail asking for me to call back - as it could be one of the greatest calls I've ever made in my life. I did just that, and he couldn't have been more correct. Not just in a financial sense, but a year and a half later, my life has never felt more rich now. I owe Brookstone a lifetime of gratitude for helping me achieve so many goals. 

Atbfirst, I could admit just like anyone else how canvassing might not have been for me, either. But they gave me a chance, personally invested in me and gave me my own personal work email. I thought to myself "Wow, these guys are organized and professional." It's true, they are. It really grew on me. So I give it my absolute best effort. That effort paid off in a few months in the form of a promotion. The first one of my life. I can't describe how happy that made me. It meant a lot to me, to be seen and accepted. Getting to know my team has been phenomenal. They always encourage one another and it's a beautiful thing to see.

It was a little nervous at first, but after I got the hang of it & learned some effective strategies my world opened up to endless possibilities. They see limitless potential in me every day. They pay me every week on time, every time. The connections I build within and abroad have helped me learn to focus on doing whats right, because the company's core values are an insightful standard as to why it matters to work doing what you love. I love this job, truly. It gave me structure, purpose, wisdom, and most of all  amongst many other things, a family. 

The people that I work with and talk to on a daily basis are inspiring. Working together as a cohesive unit and making friends and memories along the way, making impact in the community, and so much more. It is all so very much worth while once you understand the culture, which holds strong because a team is only as strong as its weakest link, and these people teach you strength, endurance, discipline, passion, self worth, unbreakable bonds. We are all here for one another. They taught me resilience, too. I don't mind holding an umbrella in the rain for work. It's all about mindset. 

Every door you knock is a new opportunity waiting to happen, so bring your best each door every time and you will understand that with time and dedication your impact will grow. I've learned to take pride in my work and they noticed that. They gave me everything, including consistently amazing free swag, good technology, tools to do my job, paid rides to & from turf, paid lunch, draws, rewards, motivational speechs, trivia, Wonderland, obstacle courses  birthday goodies, coffees, cake. So much cake. You name it. Fun inclusive boot camps. Gorgeous Christmas parties, giveaways and prizes. These folks are beyond generous.

Best company I've worked for. I joined back in October, recently received a promotion from a canvasser to team lead just 9 months later. 

There is a lot of opportunity to move up; this company would rather promote from within than hire someone new. The pay quickly becomes great due to uncapped commission and monthly/quarterly bonuses. Pay scales with the quality of work you deliver, which is a great motivator.

Really fun work culture as well, emphasizes respecting the grind and frequently awards you for doing so. You'll find the environment professional, progressive and light hearted. Almost always business but not taken too seriously, everyone likes to have fun with it.

The work itself is varied. 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. With varying start times depending on weather and sunrise/sunset. As it is a canvassing job, you'll be put in different neighbourhoods daily to generate leads for the company, and you'll be talking to different faces all day. The experiences you can have are endless, as no day is quite the same as the one before it due to so many varying factors. This has some pros and cons.

A few Pros:
- Every day is fresh and engaging.
- You get to meet plenty of different kinds of people, which is great as a people person.
- When the weather is nice its such a joy to be outside.
- Great exercise since you spend all day walking. 
- Can easily maintain a great work/life balance.
- Get to see a lot of pets!
A few Cons:
- Sometimes people don't always have the best reactions to you arriving at their door.
- It is Canada, therefore the weather doesn't always play nice. In the winter it can get real cold.
- You need to be very flexible with work hours to work around said weather and changing seasons.

Other bonuses come with the job also; occasional free lunches, random prize draws, gift card incentives, and a motivational, competitive work environment.

Okay where do I begin. I have been working for Brookstone for about a year and half now and the amount of progress this company has made in that short time span is baffling. When I first started working here I liked the job but never envisioned myself working here long term, the job was fun and challenging but the culture and environment wasn't the best. However with some few changes to the staff and a new system put in place this company took off and is now by far the best place I have ever worked at. Everyone that works here is part of the Brookstone family, they treat you with respect and show an extreme amount of appreciation for your hard work. The pay is awesome, you're not going to find many places that pay you both hourly as well as commission and reward you with tons of incentives. When I first started the company had yearly awards, then added quarterly awards and now we even have monthly awards. You won't find a place that rewards their employees as much as Brookstone does. I've already been promoted to a higher position with more pay then when I first started, with plenty of more opportunities to come in the future. Lastly, the thing I am most grateful about this company is how they have handled this Covid 19 situation, they are extremely diligent in making sure that everyone is safe and following all safety protocols, and also handling the lockdown in a great way. When I came back to work from the first lockdown, I was expecting there to be a lot more challenges generating leads, but with the help of our team here at Brookstone I was even more successful than before.

Knocking on doors is a tough job but it is rewarding and can be a lot of fun with the right attitude. 
Brookstone has a great work trail/training program for new employees  to make sure they are ready for the job.   

Over 2 years with Brookstone’s field marketing program I have learnt a lot about sales/marketing & leadership but it has also been a lot of fun.

The culture at Brookstone is unlike a lot of places I have worked, its an environment where you can get excited about going to work! 

The field marketing program is competitive internally while also highly motivated to hit big goals as a team. Brookstone pays you more than just an hourly wage the more effort you put in the more rewarding it is. Commissions paid out weekly and bonuses for goals being hit, also multiple quarterly and monthly bonuses for top performers.
This definitely makes it a competitive place to work.

During my summer co-op as a Field Marketing Representative at Brookstone, I initially had limited experience with door-to-door sales. However, the comprehensive training and support from Brookstone management significantly enhanced my understanding of effective sales techniques and how to build rapport with homeowners.

I found the role to be highly engaging, as I had the opportunity to interact with a diverse array of individuals both at the door and within my team. The management team was instrumental in my development, consistently providing guidance and addressing any questions I had regarding my performance and improvement. Brookstone’s commitment to transparency ensured that my inquiries were taken seriously and answered thoroughly.

I worked at the London branch and enjoyed my experience so much that I chose to extend my time with the company beyond my co-op. Even now, they continue to support my professional growth and skill development. I wholeheartedly recommend this position to anyone considering a career in marketing, as it offers substantial opportunities for advancement. My time at Brookstone has been invaluable, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Working at Brookstone was very valuable and a lot of fun. The culture at the Cambridge branch was great. The manager was super nice and helpful. We typically started our shifts in the afternoon and worked until around 7 and got back to the office at 7:30. The company would pay for drive time and lunches which was a perk. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, our company vehicle sucked, it was so hot some days and the cars AC system wasn’t the greatest and there was no radio. So we just had to listen to our managers stories, which were pretty interesting, but there were days where I would have liked to listen to some music on the way to turf. All in all I did enjoy my experience at Brookstone. The company does seem to really care about its employees, they offer tons of incentives like gift cards, free lunches and spiffs where you can win expensive jerseys and other cool prizes. If you’re someone who’s into sports and competitive this is the job for you. You can make a good amount of money if you work hard and are good at talking with homeowners. If you’re shy and have a lousy work ethic this probably isn’t the best job for you.
