I worked at this establishment for approximately 6 years. Within that time I was able to see countless faces come and go due to the strenuous level of work involved for the lowest possible wage in the auto industry. You will work most weekends, and if not you will usually be mandated only to have it canceled at the last minute on a Friday. Just ensuring you cannot possibly make plans. There are several jobs that are severely unergonomic. To the point where the injury rate is sickening. On top of that, if you do get injured because of them, they will find a reason to get rid of you. 
You basically have to be able to run a marathon all day while carrying parts. For little pay, and no job security whatsoever. They just laid off the better part of 100 people. Some were honored with buyouts, most not. Some were promised buyouts, only to later be told that they won't be getting it, then extending them another month and offering them the buyout again. Everything about this place is shady. Save yourself the hassle! Not to mention the never hire. It took me 2 years to get hired!

Typical day was long, really early mornings. Really repetitive work, though most of the time I didn't mind it, I knew what I signed up for. Co-workers were great once you get to know them and spend a couple continental shifts together. What was really tough was seeing what little chance you had of being hired on by the company due to the fact that most of the company was being supplied by a temp agency with workers who had way more seniority and experience over you. Long hours also became really dull and long with nothing to listen to but the hum of all the machinery for twelve hours. I did enjoy engaging in friendships with people working there in all walks of life, the pay was good considering a was then a teenager just out of high school. I overall enjoyed the job, but wouldn't see myself doing it for an extended period of time. 

Didnt mind the super visors,,,Management seemed to have no idea what was going on ,,,I think some office personnel have no idea what brose makes or who actually does the work.
If you think for one minute that you are respected and or valued as a human being,,guess again.brose could care less about you or anything about you or your family.
When they tell you its a family oriented company..that simply means you are there to make money for the owners. 
Office staff are aloud to have coffee at their desks and pizza,doughnuts,yet people on the floor can have water in a clear container so the know its not coffee or gator-aid.
I think all the office staff are delusional as to what really goes on.
My very best day there was the day i quit.never ever worked for such a ridiculous place in all my years.
They get one star per category only because 0 is not possible

I wasted over ten years of my life as others being the “donkey led by a carrot on a fishing pole” with working 6 days a week while the majority of the other employees got time off.
I could write a novel about how terrible that place was. All management cared about was their own bonus. Everyone was treated completely unfair.
It’s no shock why they lost so much business and pay outs to tenured employees, the place was a sinking ship after launched 5 years.

Don’t even waste any time thinking about any employment with Brose it’s not worth the time or effort. Very disappointing company and sad how they treat their employees! It’s all favouritism, honestly it’s the worst and most toxic place you’ll ever hear!

I personally would never return to working for this organization. It's not for everyone.
If you enjoy being treated like just another tool on a shelf, then this is where you belong. "Expendable" was the word they used to describe my position... It's rather demoralizing, even when you meet their expectations or even EXCEED them ... They still just throw you to the curb like you're just another piece of the assembly line.
The only thing I enjoyed here, was the talking to the other people that worked the line during lunch break.

But hey, some people live for that right?

Although Brose has a lot of good people and competitive wages for skilled trades, they treat people very poorly, especially non skilled workers.
Management is very unorganized and a lot of time and money is wasted because they have no communication. Tradesmen often spend hours trying to locate a $100.00 part that is used everywhere because they have a poor tracking system and too few parts in stock. 
Management uses fear tactics and threats toward workers instead of encouraging input and helping them feel like an important part of the team.
I was glad to leave and not  have to watch the power tripping any more.

There wasn't too much heavy lifting, although not limited to. co-workers were great to work with. A lot of awesome people who did a great job. Jobs were easy to catch on to. I learned multifple machines/stations. I knew 8 out of the 10 machines in our department; I caught on very fast and felt like I could contribute to more.
I loved working there and wanted to be a part of the Brose team but everybody was unsure of hiring, they started to cancel shifts and I no longer felt secure.

typical day is 8, 10 , or 12 hours.  I have learned how to operate several types of machinery and how car seats work.  Management is difficult to talk to and uncaring of its workers (as a whole).  Most of the coworkers are friendly and supportive.  The crew I worked with made working there tolerable and occasionally fun.  The hardest part of the job was producing great seats with poor quality parts from previous lines.  The most enjoyable part of the job, like all jobs, is finishing the day to go home.

I have worked in many heavy industries where safety is followed or you are out the door. At Brose I saw people climbing in unlocked presses, putting hands in coils machines, running equipment with guards off ( encouraged by area supervisor). People do not know better as they are driven by the dollar, just like everyone else. If you loose your hand or life money will not help you. Look elsewhere for work. Take a pass and work safely and be supported by your management team.

I left Alberta to work here , because of the money. Working here was a great experise. I learned how to run many different machines. Some of my co-workers were great and others were not.
but that goes anywhere. We played jokes on each other, it was all in good fun. The hardest part of the job was poor management. But the most enjoyable part was learning the machines.
