Having the opportunity to work with Buchanan Technologies, is a rewarding experiencing. The day to day dealings with our clients are really what gives a sense of accomplishment a real-time data of performance. Given next to complete autonomy, I am able to complete my tasks efficiently and professionally. 

in conjunction with the support and mentorship that Buchanan Technologies has to provide, I feel like a part of a well organized organization that fosters internal growth. Having the ability to work with many talented individuals has improved my overall skill-set and understanding of network infrastructure. 

I intend to work toward specialized certifications so that I may be chosen to progress rapidly through the company going forward.

Great benefits and job culture however the management really drags this employer down.

Long hours in a fast paced environment. Extremely stressful. Poor organization and management of employees. Scheduling was tight and often was under staffed.

I went over a week with no hours assigned to me, no response to emails, calls or texts before they fired me with no concrete explanation given, even up to this day.

Probably the worse, HR was of absolutely no help and seemed to only have the company in mind rather than the employees needs. I was held back by over 2 months from applying to EI due to the complete refusal of Buchanan Technologies to cooperate with Service Canada or directly with me via HR.

I do not recommend this employer to anyone unless these predatory practices change.

Although the pay is okay, the upper management and leadership is a bit of a mess. I've never worked somewhere so disorganized. Training was extremely quick and a lot of agents felt unprepared and anxious. Getting correct pay is a constant issue - they're rarely correct, and even after the contract is finished, many agents are left missing pay. Getting in touch with supervisors or managers is difficult as there doesn't seem to be a clear heirarchy or structure. The day-to-day was fine, but work culture is extremely poor because of the lack of communication, support, and pay. Wouldn't work here again.the company should reevaluate their management structure and hire additional staff to support onboarding and contract details. 

In recent years, the culture at Buchanan has shifted toward a high-volume call center model that prioritizes speed over quality of service. Despite the high volume, high expectations and high-pressure nature of the work, the base level of compensation remains at minimum wage with fully no path for merit-based or cost-of-living increases, with raises only granted via promotion, or obtaining certifications, and you'll meet the limits of both very quickly. The disconnect between the workload and the pay makes it difficult to maintain as a primary career. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are seeking professional growth or a competitive salary.

This was an amazing place to work, until you're out of training. Then the company's true colors come out. The pay is way to low for what they expect you to do, you will take double the calls they tell you to expect taking. They do not offer raises or promotions, but after a while they will force you to do the work of higher up positions for no extra pay. Management only cares about their bottom dollar, they dont care how much stress they put on you. 
You also need to keep track of your own hours worked because they will try to short you.

Training was condensed therfore it was insufficient, and ment a lot of training on the job

Very friendly and engaging. They made an effort to put employees in a separate chat to help each other out and share info

Depending on the company, high pace with nonstop calls or laid-back with infrequent calls

NEVER APPLY HERE!!! Their Center in PEI is a joke. You’re trained by agents not actual trainers. Everyone is condescending, have no clue on how to motivate their staff. Job expectations if you’re on multiple clients. The training was awful. Supervisors who lie to you then go back on their word. There is no sense of a positive work environment. You get terminated because “you’re not fast enough”.

I am working from home  and you can work from campus as well

In comming and outboud calls for IT support

Management is very unfeeling here.  Dare I say, misguided, but mostly in how they deal with employees.  The clients seem to get their needs dealt with, but if The Boss, and we know who that is, has a bad weekend, he'll be cutting you to shreds with his words for no reason at all.  There's no possibility of advancement here.  You work one role and when it runs out, you're out.

Overall you would be satisfied with amount of work you do. Few opportunities to grow but in some cases you might notice partialism.

Lower level managment is super helpful. Decent pay but some times the expectations go too high as compare to work load and available workforce.
