At Budds’ BMW I was in the “apprentice” position. Due to management’s failure to hire more staff, I was often thrown back into tire storage to help out over there when I was told “only 3 months”. A lot of the guys in the shop are good to work with and that is one of the few redeeming qualities of this job. As someone who is fully educated with experience, you would assume I would get paid more than a new hire with nothing, right? Apparently that doesn’t make sense to management either. Boss kept delaying my apprenticeship application and made it difficult to get it started. Working here you get an alright benefits plan, free car washes, a nice phone plan, pretty good parts discounts, and a few other perks which were very nice. When I finally put in my notice, the boss decided to ignore me for the first few days, after he decided to say bad things about my future job and tell me how I will make no money. It took 3 months after I left to get my apprenticeship hours signed in the competency book which was no fun. This could’ve been a genuinely good job but the management has ruined it. 

They don't care about you or your family, all they care is that the big guys upstairs are happy. They expect millions in sales every month, a extremely high expectation, always have to beat previous year profits for the month of. Highly competitive, some people get commission on top of their part sales, some don't. all depends on who they like, there is no set period of time until you get commission. 

I had a family issue at home and my Mother was very sick, I approached management to let them know of the situation and I may have to tend to my sick mother in hospital or at home. The first thing that came out of their mouths was "are you working those days, make sure you can switch with someone else to get the time off if you are."
MY MOTHER IS SICK AND DYING IN A HOSPITAL AND YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE ME PULL STRINGS TO GET A DAY OFF!? Absolutely insane, no care for the employees. If management seems like they care its a ploy to make you work harder and make the rich richer.

I worked here as a technician for 5 years and 8 months until the corona virus pandemic, I was fired due to having a legitimate medical condition making me exempt from wearing a mask, they wouldn't honour my legitimate doctors note and fired me on the spot for refusing to wear a mask. Its a very toxic environment and common to hear coworkers gossiping behind your back. Also the pay is significantly lower compared to other dealerships in the area, would highly recommend you stay away if you dislike workplace drama and snobby rich people attitudes from coworkers. 

Great brand, you will learn a lot about cars and all of their components but good luck getting a decent wage or even a raise. too much work  to make anything over minimum wage. 
Environment is draining and toxic, you always gotta watch your back from coworkers, there’s a lot of favouritism and you rules only apply to certain people.
Management will promise you the world but won’t deliver on anything at all. They will take advantage of the younger guys and gaslight them into doing the most for other coworkers while they watch videos and talk smack about everyone at the dealership.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay was good, and facility was clean. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The managers and owners only care about themselves and money. The employees are just numbers.  Terrible place to work. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very low moral. No one is happy. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very stressful and unorganized

i worked here for 2 weeks before i quit. it was the worst work environment i had ever been a part of, toxic co-workers and a poor system to wash cars were blatant issues from day one. management seemed keen at first but i quickly realized they play favorites and if you don't suck up you get the worst end of the stick. There is a reason they have a posting for lot attendant/ car washer/ sales assistant every month.

If you didnt grow up in this dealership you won't be treated the same way as the ones who have been with the dealership for a while, management treats some farily and some not so much. Some people can make the same mistake as you; but not get penalized the same. Management will also drop times on jobs to quote "stay competitive" Pay wasnt bad, but otherwise the environment is toxic.

Working at BUDDS' BMW has given me not only an opportunity to grow within the company, but as a person.I was promoted to a knew position within 3 months, and It has provided me with a tremendous amount of confidence, security,Innovative, resourceful, and enthusiastic.

I genuinely enjoy my work for Budds'. I find most people very friendly, the showroom is beautiful. I do wish the pay rate was better for the amount of work I handle, and I wish management would pay more attention when complaints are discussed. There could be more team building events. 

Staff on every level other than management is made to feel dispensible. Service Manager rarely looks up from his phone to address you in conversation. They post fake positive reviews on multiple platforms and encourage staff to do the same.
