Great place to work although you have to be extra vigilant while driving. 
 One mistake could cost your license as there are no errors for careless driving.
    One also has to be polite and care about their fare. This can range from a School Child right up to a Pensioner or someone that is physically disabled and will need your help to either get in or out of a taxi.
    You have to care about your job and not just the money. Helping the Public is the first priority in this job as well as keeping the Management happy.
    Getting along with the Drivers can be hard as most of them prefer to stay in their own groups with their own culture. However, you really don't communicate with them at all except maybe when passing.

typical day at work cleaning and fueling the taxi checking if all equipment works driving costumers where they need to go in time this includes using alternative routes I learned how to get around the city and handle bad costumers management was supportive and  cared about the drivers as we pick up all sorts of people from all walks of life the hardest part would be bad costumers such as  people who would not pay the fare or would be in bad mods etc.. best part you are everywhere all the time go places where you have never been

Very fortunate to be able to interact with people, and being able to work with different variety positioned workers and management definitely improved my skilks and mostly my personality. Being a taxi driver teaches you patience, how to manage time and how communicating and listening can play a huge role in any business and life as we always have to interact and serve each other in daily bases. I'm very grateful to Burlington Taxi for this life time knowledge and experience they added to my life.

The job is fast paced.   Your are working with a computer interface.   Dispatchers are their for help.

You deal with General Public.   Meet new people every day.

Generally in a car to pick up people take them where they need to go.

Good customer service is key.   Work hard and you will make money.

I liked working at burlington taxi for as long as it lasted. A lot of turnover over the years, lots ups and down in business. Can be stressful when you are the only one in the office handling calls from customers and dispatching trips to drivers.

This company closed November 2021. Was a good place to work as Burlington is a quiet, safe community and with tips the pay was good prior to ride share companies taking over the bar scene Fridays and Saturdays. 

Most days are fun and different. You deal with a lot of different people and no 2 days are alike. The hardest part of the job is stating early but getting off early is very nice.

You make your own schedule, any time any day you just go and you take a car and start make money.
The only thing which i would like to change are the cars and the way they clean them.

Bad company with bad management. A lot of changes need to be made. Toxic culture need to go. A lot of managers are not good to the employees and the people who work for them

I worked there for a few years and enjoyed it. I really enjoyed getting to talk to many members of the community and visitors from out of town on a daily basis
