In a typical day at work, there are always a lot of chatting, communication, and hands on work being done. Everyday there is something to do so everyone is busy. The programs they run is very culturally diverse. They provide a lot of dinner services such as Chinese dinner party or French dinner party. There's also the Christmas gift wrapping event, leadership programs for youth, and many more! The management is great! The most enjoyable part of the job was the positive attitude people brought to the workplace! Especially the adults. Helping out others knowing it's for a good cause I bet makes everyone feel good as well! The hardest part was volunteering at the day cares. Sometimes little kids can get out of hand.

I took care of the kids before school from 7-9 am and after school from 3-6pm. on Pro-D days, we spent all day together from 7am-6pm. our days were filled with various activities ranging from art, sports, games, etc. my leadership skills were strengthened as I took on the position of supervisor and through out my time here I always felt very supported by my supervisors and managers. My co-workers were good team players and supportive as well. The most enjoyable aspect of my job was my time with the kids and the hardest part was the early morning commutes because I lived quite far from work at the time.

I've volunteered with a few programs that have been very beneficial for me and the community. Such as one the  Burnaby Neighbourhood House. There I made new friends and developed my socials skills. I've gone to seniors homes to sing in choirs to them also i've played board games with them. I've participated in community clean ups along the streets or beach shores. Also i've helped at fairs at elementary schools with face painting kids. It feels good to give back to the community. Volunteering can bring a whole lot of benefits to participants who don’t need anything in return.

The best part of working here is that they give you a lot of freedom to build your ideas and programming. They have a very hands-off management style which can be great but also a tad lacking at times. This is an excellent place for someone who is an independent, self-starter who wants to be innovative with new ideas. It's a great, friendly environment, but you wont be able to advance very far within the organization as management has been there a while and will likely stay. also, you will get pulled around where they need you so you will need to be flexible.

The Community Provides services of all ages from Youth to Elderly. From Gardening, Volunteer Work, to planning and participating in local events. They provide Leadership and Work experience and education to students eager to start working early and meet the experience hours required to graduate.

we would earn money from doing events at schools such as selling popcorn then put all that money into the next event and i found this experience very educational, i found it educational because i learned how to set up a event and talk to people and get their opinion on what we can do better next event.

BNH has a fairly tight-knit group, with 2 satellite sites and one main campus to support. They really shouldn't continue to bother with on-prem given that they really depend on M365 on windows machine for no more than 150 endpoints at best. 



Typical days start at 7am, staff does split shifts because it's a before and after school program,

the most enjoyable part of the job is that we work with children and we get to connect with people.

Fun workplace with friendly and helpful coworkers. Lots of opportunities and different activities to try out whilst learning valuable skills and contributing to the community. Duties and responsibilities are clearly stated. Will continue volunteering!

Some of the job duties include complete tasks both quickly and with precision and accuracy, and accomplishing duties as assigned and directed by the volunteer supervisor. It is pretty relaxed and chill workplace, and everyone is friend and caring.
