What is the best part of working at the company?
Your work is assigned to you through the Teldig Program and pretty much work on your own. You are assigned a company computer with all the necessary tools to complete the Locate request.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You have a certain amount of days to complete the required locate and email it to the contractor which can become overwhelming because the amount of Locate requests that have to be completed 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good work environment and culture working with CCS

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I set up my day according to the dates the Locate requests are due.

I’ve worked for this company for 11 years.  The supervisors are quick to put the blame on workers if something goes wrong.  Management sides with supervisors ALL the time, even when the supervisors are wrong.  The supervisors harass and call out workers in front of everybody instead of talking privately.  Their health benefits are not very good.  They will pay you as less as possible and threaten your job when asking for pay raise. I didn’t get a pay raise for three years and when I did get it, was $.50.  It’s a good place to learn a trade but then get out as fast as you can. Other companies are paying much more for the same job.

You can work very independently as long as you are done with your projects. My job requires a lot of travelling to many places thus I enjoyed it the most. Management is not pro-active with your career enhancement. I've never been into technical training or send into technical seminars or conferences in my 8 years of stay in the company.

If you do your work and stay efficient you will be left alone. That is something that I like. My manager is supportive and friendly, but I can’t speak for all the other managers. There fleet is a bit run down, but you get to take the car home witch saves you on gas. Sometimes difficult to get materials.

I enjoy working at Cable Control Systems, My supervisor is understanding, fair and teaches. There is competitive growth with in the company but and room to advance. The scenery is positive, everyone helps one another and is friendly.

Shop manager is a true piece of trash. 
They will treat you like trash and work you until you break. 
They run old equipment that is constantly breaking and use junkyard parts to service there fleet. 

i thoroughly enjoyed my months working for CCS. The staff are hard working, fun, family oriented and down to earth. Very good company, i recommend them to anyone looking to enter the field of cabling work.

All in all it is a decent place to work. Not much down time. The fleet and equipment is a bit old. But CCS has been going strong for over 35 years.  The owner is a great guy.

I was really disappointed by the poor customer service comming from this company...Also some Forman was rude with pedestrians, co workers and customers...

No regular reviews, raises are subjective to made-up performance reviews and are annually done in a sloppy way. Will let you drive vehicles that are unsafe.
