If you have a good team it can be enjoyable, but due to turnover and the inability to retain staff this can change quickly. Management and administration do not care about Member Service employees and do not know how their institution works on the front line dealing with clients. Favoritism and general shady approach when dealing with any applicants that want to further their career internally. The first thing they taught us is "don't trust anyone", this is a very negative workplace culture. The clients and learning about basic financial industry were the best part. Direct supervisor did not even pay attention and kept in their office majority of days. There is barely any review of work and if there is it is very negative and by someone who doesn't understand your duties and workload. Training is also abysmal, had been trained for weeks and returned to work and told what I was trained on was wrong or that someone untrained now had to take over the task you were assigned. If you do start here entry level, find work elsewhere fast and do not tell them you are looking around, they will terminate employment for any reason as long as it serves their narrative.

Honestly there’s not much good to say. The people were great but we all left due to having no help, no proper training, no support, no collaboration, no acknowledgement of achievements. It’s really hard to say all of this because of how much I wanted to work here. This was supposed to be my career job, a place where I could grow and build my skills. It may be the location I was hired in but everyone is burnt out, no one wants to be there, when anyone makes friends it’s frowned upon. It’s just so hard to work in a place that doesn’t want you there. Management also doesn’t step in when your members are upset and yelling or threatening you and it’s just really hard to deal with. 

I would not recommend working for Caisse. The salary is one of the lowest in the industry in Manitoba. They don't give you proper training and just expect you to know things. Super high turnover of staff supports it's not a great place to work. Management doesn't care about you and head office is the same. The benefits are minimal and the culture is worse. The amount of work even being given to senior staff is not manageable and everyone is overwhelmed. You'd be better off working for another credit union. If you value your mental health don't work here. 

The management team lacked leadership skills. Seemed they got promoted simply because their time with the company and not because of their skills. There was no support, but dismissive and condescending approaches were the norm. Unnecessary power trips towards other employees to try and assert their positions. It was very divided and so many changes in employees because of it. Wasn’t a pleasant work environment. Didn’t feel like a team. Some colleagues were great and friendships were made. 

For an entry level position, the training is abysmally poor from staff and you learn mostly through online interaction. When seeking help, especially in my case, there was a lot of pushing towards procedures rather than talking it though one on one.  When making a mistake, rather than addressing the situation, you often will hear of it second-hand. Overall, it's best to avoid unless you're ready to fight tooth and nail to move up, and turn on one another to do so.

The high turnover ratio says a lot. Training is good but once working by yourself, good luck getting help when you need it. People tend to avoid their work and push it onto others. Salary does not reflect the the amount of work required. Highly suggest looking somewhere else for 17$/H

Caisse Financial Group is a great job if you're unsure of what you want to do in life. Great way to get some customer service experience. The work environment is great and you meet a lot of wonderful people everyday. 9-5 hours depending on your location but the pay isn't so great.

Don’t Waste your time.  Very poor wages.  Training is awful, manuals aren’t correct, nobody seems to update to coincide with banking system,  head office doesn’t care about anyone lower than them and hr will twist any situation around to the employee.   All they care about is making a sale and setting unrealistic tracking for employees.  

Had a great training experience and the staff was overall pretty great to work with. It is very fast paced at times but always manageable with 2-3 tellers. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting new people and being able to help them and give them great service!

The managers respect family work life balance and if u looking to working in a bilingual environment,  this is the place for you. However the pay is rather poor ...
