Honestly it depends on your outlook, your work ethic, and whether or not you want to engage in gossip and drama.
Not going to lie when I first started I almost quit six or seven times, I found the sets were too hard and too fast to keep up, now I can work the "hardest" sets like I'm running a single machine. Remember everything takes time and practice, and don't be afraid to ask "is there a better way to run this set?" Chances are if you ask, the senior staff will give advice.
When you first start don't be discouraged if no one but your trainer and fellow trainees talk to you. Everyone has been told for the training period we are not aloud to give advice or help out because it will interfere with the process. As a trainer I can tell you this is absolutely true, and I reminded my trainees not to take it personally. 
You are going to work for your money, it can be fast paced, sometimes frustrating, but your not getting paid to sit on you butt and do nothing. If you want something like that go somewhere else and good luck.
The hours are long 12 it sucks especially if you have young kids, your constantly tired and feel guilty because you don't spend enough time with them. You do work 14 or 15 days out of the month, a week shutdown in the summer and two weeks shutdown over Christmas and New Years, plus the longer you're there you get additional weeks off.
It needs to be said your life would be so much calmer and positive if you just don't feed the gossip and drama, who cares what so and so said about this person or that person, the only time to get involved with this is if it violates the work place harassment policy's.
It can be a great place to work, they are constantly trying to improve the facility they just put in air conditioning in half of the factory floor and are currently mapping out the second half. There's room to grow in the company, I know a coworker who was a machine operator, and now they are working in the scheduling and label department. Another is now part of the HR team.
It's not all sunshine and rainbows, there are bad days and you do question WTF are they thinking. At the end of the day you yourself have to make the choice to let it bother you or not.

I work 12hr shift on D shift. It's a rotating shift so there are lots of free time/ days off. A typical day at Canplas is usually you are working with 2-3 machines, sometimes 4 if they're slow. Training period usually last around a month on morning shift . The company itself, is safety focused and is being more aware of importance of mental health. Workplace culture is okay, if you are having trouble with your machine there are people on your team that step in and are willing to help. 
Management(HR) is nice, easy to talk to and they listen to what you have  to say.  On the other hand,  I found that my supervisor is very hard for me to approach. If you're having problems you're usually told to tell your supervisors about them to help you come up with a solution to fix it. As someone who is socially anxious, bringing up problems that are happening on the floor and coming forward is already out of my comfort zone. When I brought up something that I thought was happening, I was already being cut off and was immediately asked who was involved. When I was called to the office, I was expecting something in the lines of " hey, I think there was a misunderstanding" but instead I was treated like I was lying (as if I had something to gain from doing so.) when all I wanted to do was relay what I felt was happening at work, what I heard and what I saw but next thing I know I was being yelled at, told that what I was saying was "irrelevant", and that I was "seeing things that aren't there".   When in reality, it was something that could have been easily fixed. 
For the workplace environment, most of the time if you do your own thing it's okay. But, they are people that let out their frustration at work. People taking secret videos/photos of other co workers to report them instead of giving them a heads up and tell them first that what they are doing is not safe etc.  There are some, not very many, more experienced workers that belittle newer workers but can be easily brushed off if you avoid them. 



Training was awful but solid co-workers.
Going into this place as a temp, don’t think you’ll get any respect from anyone either then other temps.
Unless you’ve had prior experience in this field, I do not recommend working here to anybody. One training day (around 2 hours for the group of people I was interviewed with), and then immediately put onto the floor, controlling 3-4 machines, without being properly trained on how to use them.
Don’t even think for a second that you can use the bathroom during your shift unless you’re on break. Had a co-worker punished for it. They had sent someone else home and added 2 machines onto the 3 he was already controlling, 1 was on the other side of the building. They had set him up for complete failure that night. 
One of the shift managers was awesome, came to your side if you had any questions or needed any help, the other just walked around searching for problems and instead of solving them or even saying anything, he’d just stand there with his arms crossed and only get in the way.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very often they give so much work for one person that you don't have time to drink a sip of water. Bathroom break ? Dream on. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Its very hot in there and a lot of safty hazards. Stressful because you are forced to keep the required quotas but have to work with broken equipment and tools. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Its terrible and I'm looking for a new job.
I really dislike it there. I was hired as a machine operator but I'm not operating machines. I box and barcode parts coming of a conveyor. I'm a packeger . There's no machine operator in that facility.

Co workers are fun to work with and very helpful.

Running multiple machines and not having enough time to make sure the parts are good

Friendly and positive,  morale  is very good and everyone is helpful.  Time goes by quick 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start up meeting and then go to your machines. Do your hourly checks, u run 3 machines at a time sometimes its slow and could be fast depending on what machines your running but if u fall behind u can always call foe help

fast paced at the start, after a couple months once you get the hang of things you learn the rythm of the machines it's a perfectly steady workplace. We work in Teams and alternate machines multiple times during the shift so it's always different and at least on my shift we make sure no one is left struggling because everybody at some point is going to be on those machines so you get what you give so we all work together to make it as easy as we can for everybody 

Stress free work environment. Great place with many great co workers. Pay for entry level jobs is also good. Fast paced work environment.

Cons are that the work place is noisy as many heavy machines run at a time and are closely placed. Entry level work would be mostly in the night shifts.

Typical work involves packing of plastic products into cartons Products like roof vents are made in the heavy compression machines in fast pace. Moving form one machine to other simultaneously is a must.

You are contacted by a Talent Acquisition Person and then scheduled for a in person interview. It is a group interview which you are not advised of prior. There is also a personality test to be completed prior to the group interview. You are led to believe you are actually applying directly to Canplas BUT in fact through a temp agency that you are required to work through for 6 months and then if hired another 6 month probationary period. No benefits or raise till after 1 year of employment. Total sham and very deceptive. No way to promote a positive work environment!!! 

great pay and benefits. has a pension plan, but not a huge one. has no union, which is a big plus. takes a long time to get permanent day shift. can be quite hot during the summer. was 8 hour shifts, then continental 12 hour shifts. staff works together as a "family" feel. company keeps up with, and grows with, times and changes in the economy and consumer needs. supervisors are promoted from within, and they tend to be "weak" in most cases. can have favoritism issues.

Worst place ever to work. A lot of horrible people there. Massive rumor mill, people taking secret videos/photos of other co workers and going around showing it to people while making fun of them. A Male co worker of mine was harassing me and I brought it to HR all I ever got back was " waiting to hear from the Plant Manager". Honestly the hardest part of this job is the co workers, they get off on bringing you down! I had to quit :(
