Absolutely loved every part of interning at CBC. 

I would arrive at 8:30 everyday to polish off story ideas and search for new stories. Pitch meeting was at 9:30. After pitching, my producer would pick which stories to chase down, and who would chase them.

Chasing meant making a lot of phone calls, playing a lot of telephone tag, and really rooting around to find the right guest. 

Once the guest was found, I would pre-interview them, book them, and write the script for the host. 

Once that was done, I'd starting chasing or hunting for a new story. 

I learned a great deal about everything mentioned above. My interview skills, and script writing skills grew immeasurably, and my confidence in my work really hit a high as a started getting stories on air everyday. 

My co-workers were wonderful, one and all. 

The hardest part was the first day of making cold calls for a story, but my fear of the phone was gone by the end of that first day.

The most enjoyable part was putting a piece together, from start to finish, and having it get to air and really take on a life of its own. Even made one of my producers cry once, because the story turned out so wonderfully.

CBC is the best place I have ever worked. They are fair and truly want to help one another get ahead. I enjoy the timeliness and urgency of having the job done quick and accurately. It is truly rewarding to have a show go to air with great success.

they are considered as a rich work environment which combines with different types of people . Also it gives the chance for every body to spread out the word of  any new project

Fascinating work albeit from contract to contract, ergo constant insecurity. Not very friendly management, and constant lay-offs which made the atmosphere difficult to work in.

I recorded with CBC Radio for a podcast and my employers were very straightforward, kind and enjoyable to work with. Creativity and personal input is encouraged. It was a lovely experience and I would definitely return to work with these people.

There were always interesting things happening. This was just a short contract but I felt like part of the team. My favorite was when they did live broadcasts from the atrium.

Great. Spoke on radio live in regards to advocating for 'working poor'.  It was a pleasant experience. I had a fun time and hopefully helped Mustard Seed educate the public.

This was a great station to start my journalism career. It's a smaller station so I was able to be exposed to various different elements in a short time.
