Worked afternoon shift only ten minutes from home.The day started with a group meeting between the employees and shift supervisors .Discussed were company events,procedures and employee
concerns. I was an order picker and would be given a stack of orders  with some being priority.I would pick orders for parts for the vehicles made by General Dynamics shipped allover the world.    
If some of the items to be picked were heavy i would get a forklift or someone with a forklift to get it down from the racks.On completion of the order i would take it to a clerk for processing or to be audited which was my previous job .Any problems i would get a supervisor if i or another employee could not solve it.If work was slow in my department we would clean up or help in another area such as packing.I found my co-workers mainly good hard working people and a few exceptional .Hardest part of the job was looking for a certain part and not finding it then searching for it.Most enjoyable part of the job was the people and completing a hard order pick.What i learned were my strengths and how to handle things like problem solving and multitasking.I found the company and managers to be to my liking.

>Inspect product to verify saleable condition.
>Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate documentation for recording and tracking.
>Create URL documents to ensure accuracy of car parts received.
>Generate discrepancy reports of inaccuracies and email the same to managers/supervisors.
>Track shipments and verify shipments as required.
>Investigate inaccuracies in documentation and shipments and problem solve to resolve issues

Working with a great team, managing a total of 13 operations supervisors. I've gained a vast amount of knowledge in the Operations Management role in a logistics environment. The workplace culture is a fast paced stressful environment. Working with time sensitive freight places a great deal of responsibility in understanding what and who is available, and being proactive with all aspects of safety and weather conditions to meet the needs of our clients.. Failure to do so basically results in the downtime of production lines. The workplace itself is surrounded by good people that work and help each other on a daily basis. The most enjoyable part of this position is knowing that the job is complete and that I have fulfilled the needs of our customers.

CEVA is not a bad company, but also not a fantastic one. My time here has often been frustrating, much due to bureaucratic failings and the utter rigidity of the "process driven" environment. Not that there is anything wrong with processes, but the general corporate structure and upper management shows a lack of ability to adapt to change, or make room for exceptions even when they clearly would be to the benefit of the organization.

Like any company, there are good apples and bad apples. I don't think CEVA has a disproportionate amount of either. If the job is right, CEVA could be a great company for the right candidate, but certainly is not the kind of company that when doing a "pros vs cons" analysis of a new job, would factor in under the "pros" column.

-A typical day is review of emails, planning follow up , task list review and follow. Staff meeting. Team Meeting. 
-I have learned how to generate and manage effictive tasklist with focused action plans to meet tight deadlines. 
-Managment is open door policy, willing to mentor and develop talent 
-The workplace cutlure is fast paced, safety oriented with results driven acknowlegement.
-Hardest parto of the job is the tight deadlines with long lead times for fixed asset requirments to meet deadlines
-most enjoyable part of the job is working closely with my team, finding working solutions to meet tight deadlines.

Worked 2 years for CEVA, the company in general is such a mess. Employees are under paid and it is a very stressful environment.

If you want to be part of this company, you better think twice, this is by far the worst place that I have worked for and can't describe how horrible is. They put lots of papers and information on the office wall pretending that I they are very organized but god knows hows unorganized this place is.

Feel bad for companies like Costco, Amazon, Starbucks and Prat & Whitney Canada to give their business to this company. Freights keep getting damaged and lost in their warehouse for no reason!! 

Stay away from this company and secure your future.

I  have worked here for almost 13 years. For a warehouse job the pay is good compared to most and has one of the best benifits packages. This company is also unionized.  Management though has become worse over the years and is combining a lot of Jobs which is causing a lot of strain on the workers.  The confidentiality between management and employees is horrible and many employees personal business gets shared with other employees.  There is also a lot of favoritism. In all if your looking for something to just pay your bills and keep to yourself it isn't that bad of a place to work.

After a month or 2 of being hired through the agency everything was great. Once I got hired onto the company a few months later things changed drastically. There is a lot of employees that bully other employees and lie to get others in trouble and the supervisors do nothing. As well as there was one particular supervisor who openly bashes employees it became a hostile environment so I quit this job for my own sanity. Appt at the Milton location at your own risk.

The job was good. Benefits average. Wages average.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Company would not follow Federal or Provincial Labor Codes. Union would not file grievances. It created a culture of Bullying/Harassment by Management

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Full of Stress and Anxiety. The worst was Attendance Policy.

Management in Richmond, BC branch is based on authoritarianism instead of leadership. No recognition at all. Lead by example is not a common practice. 

Working environment is extremely toxic plus there's no room for growth. Long working hours and zero flexibility unless you pay it back. 

Top management is located in Toronto and they are not aware of the situation in YVR. 

Worldwide CEVA is great, however, I do not recommend working in this office unless you are OK with mediocre management.
