What is the best part of working at the company?
The workers are great team , but the management team is very unorganized and they tried to push the team to do things that are out of comfort zone and sometimes unsafe and this is the reason I left the company

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When the company is stressing for you to do work, that is unsafe, but telling you you must do it. You get reprimanded for trying to do your job properly in the correct manner. But it’s not how management wanted it to go.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
All the employees meaning, the workers all seem to be disgruntled about the management

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
at the shop in the morning and get told what is going to happen for the day. Off to site usually.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is no best part of working for CFM. They seem like nice people until you start working for them. Don't work for CFM!!!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You are expected to know everything even if you are new in town which is totally impossible.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Co-workers are fine but management don't know what they are doing.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Doing work which you were not employed to do.

This company lays off very easily. If the work slows down just a little, then they tend to lay you off. I was hired as a crane technician but was used as a crane technician. Instead, I was used for regular maintenance work throughout paper mills in the Irwing group. I was laid off after just one month of work which was totally unfair from their part. I was never given a chance to do what I have been doing all my life. 

CFM has a broad range of contracts and expertise, As such there is always something to learn from someone else. The culture at this company was one continual improvement. Employees in the inspection division were encouraged to further their education and further develop their skills. Work load is distributed in a fair manner with decisions being clearly explained.

CFM is a great company to work for. As a surveyor it afforded the opportunity to work in a variety of different facets of our field. From civil, mechanical alignments, drone work and legal surveys. It was a very good learning experience for me. I thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone there and my supervisors were very helpful.

I have learned to work safely inside and outside of work.
The journeymen are very informative while working with.
The hardest part of the job would be dealing with the heat stress in mills.
What I enjoy most is learning from the skill journeymen.

From interview to start date was over 3 months. Very poor HR and hiring managers. The Management will yell at you, watch your every move and treat you less than what you’re worth. HR lies to your face and tells you there’s years of work and before your 90 days are up they will lay you off.

I love working at CFM, I felt part of the team from day one, they have great work-life balance, the best front line crew I have worked with, safety is a top priority 

Good co workers   Garbage supervisors and manager   Constantly losing money and work  put themselves ahead of the company and others  couldn’t sell water in the desert

Great place for a confident and hard working employee. The employees and management team were very helpful for beginners, and safety was the number one priority.
