Certain members of the management team tend to operate with a strong sense of authority while not always demonstrating the same level of practical understanding. This can sometimes lead to inconsistent direction and decision-making.

Direct plant leadership also tends to operate with confidence but not always clarity. Direction and expectations can shift quickly, and employees are frequently expected to figure things out on the fly without proper training or support.

At the executive level, organization and coordination appear to be lacking, which creates ongoing confusion and inefficiencies throughout operations. Employees are regularly assigned responsibilities with minimal guidance, adding unnecessary stress to day-to-day work.

If you’re looking to feel underpaid and underappreciated, this environment may meet those expectations. Consistent effort and reliability do not always appear to be recognized, while poor decisions and performance can go unaddressed. Favoritism also seems to contribute to low morale across the team.

Many of the tools, equipment, and processes in use feel outdated, and there appears to be limited interest in modernization or improvement, which further adds to operational challenges.

The workers at the plant are good to work with and work hard, but the Calgary management team treat them like garbage. Management always tell you to report incidents and near misses and tell you you won't get in trouble. Then when you report them, they either write you up or fire you. The plant operators are over worked, but management doesn't care.

For the most part, the people are great to work with.  However, there is a huge disconnect between the Management group and the rest of the company.  Favoritism is prevalent in the treatment and compensation of some of the staff.

Wages were low. No room for advancement.  Good home, work life.  Pretty good managment.  Safety policies pretty good.  Made promises but didn't go through with it.  Benefits pretty good.

This place is a complete mess. Glad I could get out when I did. Be ready to do whatever they ask you regardless of safety the right to refuse unsafe work.

Expecting to get hired and with 5 months you will either get fired or quit
When it comes to management they suck. I would not recommend to anyone to work there very risk job, you deal with chemicals most of the time.

A place to learn about oil and chemicals. good people to work with. Safety is very important there and support for advancement is encouraged. God money for a starter position.

CFR treat power engineers as labourer , no job security, always want to climb up hights, may get two or three days in a week  to operate boilers, handling toxic chemicals 

Management is suck at first they will praise you and after a month your garbage in their mind , watch out for the plant manager full of lies , hate this company.
