A lot of employees stay there for the benefits & the good pension. To quickly summarize: they hate the job and complain about it on a daily basis, as well as create said toxic workplace environment, but will never leave as their seniority gives them power. Explains why there is such a high employee turnover as well as multiple others on indefinite sick leave.

Management is well aware but purposely turns a blind eye, thus avoids to address those issues. No accountability whatsoever. And to add insult to injury, union reps are not only worthless, they are corrupted by said management to keep things hush.

Workers so unionized that they'd have to kill to be fired, even if they're stupidly incompetent. Makes for fun bantering, but extremely frustrating work environment

Work on research at CHUQ was an excellent experience, nice colleagues and some extracurricular activities. Workplace was very good, health and safety standards are fulfilled

Some of the research labs are doing great research but others are not worth. Management is great but you need to know French for many parts of the work.
