CIBA Vision Sterile Manufacturing

It is unlikely to have a typical day at work within CVSM. The great thing about CVSM is that every day can be different from the previous day. There are times when the day can be rather stressful and there are also times when it is smooth sailing. The combination of both is what has helped myself any many others become very capable of handling any given situation. I have personally learned many different things while here at CVSM ranging from quality to manufacturing to aseptic filling techniques to basic microbiology. The management here at CVSM is always involved and engaged in the every day activities. The hardest part of the job would have to be being able to be flexible at any given time or situation and having to react extremely quick without jeopardizing product or quality or safety, at the same time this is the most enjoyable part of the job as it help me grow as an individual.

As a company we prided ourselves on ensuring that only the safest and highest quality of products were produced and sent out to our customers.

Working in the packaging department for the last eight years had its ups and downs, but it always felt like home away from home.

The well seasoned associates that I had the opportunity to work with on a daily basis was the most enjoyable experience. There was always something new to learn from the people who have worked on the machines for the last 20 years of their employment.

The most difficult part of the job was keeping up with the ever changing SOPs. Remembering all of the updates and when they became effective was a harboring task because by the end there was a lot of procedure changes to remember.

- A typical day at work starts at 06:00 am to start environmental monitoring in the clean room for day shift.
- The day ends at 14:00 with the end of the day shift.
- Reading the results of environmental monitoring samples is usualy done inbetween entries to the clean room.
- I learned how to use LIMS, Vitec2.
- Management deligates some tasks to the analysts
- I really like my co-workers. They act professionaly. Thery are cooperative and friendly.
- The hardest part of the job is the physical work.
- The most enjoyable part of the job the analysts share in one or more project where they can share knowledge and experiences.

It was a busy and fast working all the time  but at end of the day  i enjoyed  it because i learned a lot with all the challenges i encountered. Everybody works as a team , i never had hard time so far, the most enjoyable part of my job is to get it done and more than what was expected( example: if the target is 70 000 units and we makes 80 000 to 85 000 ) it will be awesome and we are very proud.

Perform inspection in a line assembly production. Hourly inspection of goods produced. Learned different characteristics and behaviour of other employees. Management engages employees to voice their concerns and suggestion for the betterment of the company.

Supervisor is concerned about health & safety of employees and trains them to always work as a team & treat each other as their own family because the production depends not only on one individual but all the members as a whole.

It is fun to work in this company, even though there's a lot of downtimes they still keep us in the production and do something else to avoid sending us home so that our hours are complete. Management is supportive.

This was a great place to work. It had a great retirement package and benefits.  There was a shift option to accommodate your home life. It was well organized and ran smoothly.

I enjoy working in the pharmaceutical industry. Companies and people have procedures to follow, which is good and clean. Everything runs efficient. I find everyone is on the same way and everyone know what has to be done right
