I know more about the Calgary office, and the work culture of CIMA + company. For me it did not worked and I have seen for the others it did not work also. Working with this company effects badly on me, my family and my whole professional development. 

You are going to lose your organic development in CIMA+, and it is going to effect your understanding of professional job. I have seen many peoples and many companies behaviour toward their employees and some of them are constructive and some not. CIMA + is not difinitely a constructive company and it is not a good company for your future development for sure.

The company itself have had many issues through out the years and that is because they do not have any understanding of value of others work.

Overall my experience was bad and I am trying to let you know that avoid this company as much as possible this way you will not have experience what I was into.

The days are filled with interesting and challenging engineering tasks.  I feel like i am utilizing my skills to make a difference in my industry.   I feel that this office does well to cater to many personality types and build an office culture that is fun and makes me look forward to coming to work. I feel like a valued person in this group.  

I feel that my management at the Calgary office is looking out for the future of my department in acquiring work, and developing the group.  I feel management make an reasonable effort to ensure the happiness of their staff.  I believe if we continue providing this quality work and a clean deliverable to our clients, CIMA will be a big consultant in the Calgary municipal engineering market. I am excited to keep growing with this group.

With considerable experience in the field of building systems (Hardware Building) Good analytical and synthesis skills; Sense of organization and discipline, in a successful project management experience; followed and designs; in institutional residential commercial industrial with excellent business sense, recognized as a person full of resource, and who’s thoughtful and intelligent decision making.

Would rather not dwell on this too much. I've done a lot of good work to meet all the deadlines given to me, complete all my training, and I even gave management an innovative idea to increase efficiency, speed and accuracy of work, which I was recommended to do as I know my way to innovate, and have done so multiple times in the past, but I was not heard, which happened very often. Not being heard, a common theme here, whether it's with Management or HR. Be ready not to be heard or have stories told to you change often. Unfortunately, I was very motivated to work here for a long time or even forever, and sacrificed family time to make a good impression. A tremendous let down.

The overall company is decent to work with. The Company as a whole is not working well together out West only (only expanded out west 5 years ago) everything east of Saskatchewan seems to be working together. The ones that have multiple disciplines in the same office or building do not communicate well. Drafting standards are not the same from office to office but they are beginning to get it that way. Older employees do not want to change and keep up with technology and spend the time or money to get it started

They make you hustle like nowhere else.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They rarely train their junior professionals adequately and they expect them to be profitable from day one...

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Their slogan in french "Là où l'humain est au coeur de tout" represents the least the culture and work environment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Being stressed out by the bosses.

CIMA+ is a good company if you are an engineer or a Quebecer. If you are a technician or administrative or proposal officer, you do not have chances of progress. If you are not born in the province of Quebec and you are working in the province of Quebec, forget it. You can find better engineering firms in Quebec. Salaries for administrative and proposal officer are much lower that average.

Although CIMA+ offers flexibility in work hours and remote work options, my overall experience was negative due to the workplace culture. The environment was driven by micromanagement, hypocrisy, and a lack of effective leadership. Poor management practices created pressure on employees instead of providing guidance or support. The culture was not constructive or healthy for long-term growth, and the toxic atmosphere overshadowed the few positive aspects of the job.

Great group of employees create an enjoyable work environment. Lots of growth in western Canada and potential for large amounts of work. Amount of actual work varies greatly, workflows are very outdated and there is some friction between Eastern and Western offices. Company struggles to keep up with modern technologies.

Its a good company to work for overall, but there aren't much advancement opportunities provided to staff, unless you are friends with the management. 
Aside from that, it is okay. Not too great, but not bad either. Its a good place to learn and gain experience. But its probably not a long term place to stay.
