CINIPLEX ENTERTAINMENT

In my experience at Cineplex, once I became a team leader, management started to bully myself and another Team Leader. They did not give a great work life balance, as I am a student and they made me give them my school schedule. When asking for time off for school, they made me feel like I was doing something wrong and scheduled me for the day I needed off. They are not that accommodating for university students. I enjoyed my time there for the first year, but then once I became a team lead that changed. At my location, there was a lot of turnover on the TLs and they did not replace them as needed,  thus taking advantage of the only two TLs remaining. Once someone I know put in their resignation letter, the general manager told them they were to work a shift after the date stated on the resignation letter, telling them that they had to work this shift. Would never recommend working at Cineplex to anyone again. The scheduled hours usually go about an hour past the end time.

The pay is criminal: supervisors get only a .25 raise and assistant managers only get .25 more than a supervisor. 14.35 an hour as an assistant manager!

While I was working at my location I witnessed an adult male staff member follow two different underage girls into the women’s washroom. This was reported by both victims promptly and no action was taken  The predator is still working there  

Managers are manipulative, rude and unhelpful. They regularly go entire shifts standing around talking to each other and playing on their phones while their staff in concession or cleaning theatres is getting absolutely pummeled in work  

The rules are regularly broken by favorited of the managers and nothing is done. When someone they don’t like as much breaks the same rule they can expect a write up or two

work for them for a long time only could ever say good things of course there being problems at the work place. But being gone I just remember enjoy working for CINIPLEX ENTERTAINMENT. best for the hardest workers like me or the layback people I have seen all kinds of employee get hired how long you will stay is up to you I don't know if anyone will ever read this but try ciniplex out apply and do your best it was my best years and became a home for me 

Working there was alright, co-workers can be your best friend or worst enemy. Any time I tried asking for time off for school or other obligations, I would get a "revenge" shift the next week, where I would either get a really short shift early in the morning, or a really late shift followed by a really early shift.

I love working here; the environment is exciting, the managers are relaxed, the job requirements are pretty straightforward. But it's only busy over the weekend and dead during the weekdays, hence it's a perfect side job for those who just want to work in an exciting environment over the weekends.

This is a great environment to work in due to the amazing team members and the amount of hard work they do together to keep the place up to standards. They were very helpful and made sure you were well trained well to know what to do. They always made sure to have staff events and made sure to make us feel very appreciated.

Look, There's one instance that sums up my experience with Cineplex. As a cast member, I had to clean up after a child had made a massive mess of bodily fluids. Which under normal ish circumstances, is fine. But they gave me a two inch spatula and a bag. It took more than 20 minutes, and I almost threw up myself more than once.

I enjoyed working at Cineplex. It’s an easy minimum wage job, good for people with evenings and weekends free to work. They recognize hardworking people and want to train you at many locations. 
Scheduling availabilities isn’t always respected, but it’s very flexible. 
You meet a lot of great people and work in a team.

The management staff are very polite and helpful. The other cast members are friendly and supportive. The only problem is there are more than required employees due to which they are able to provide less number of hours.

I've worked as a mamager here for a while, and it is great if you are single. Trying to raise a family though, it is very difficult with the variable schedule and long hours. You also have to be available for most days of the week and many holidays. You get very little control of your schedule here.
