They should be more upfront on their ads on what they are paying and what their schedules will be like. Ads are very misleading just to see what kind of applicants they can find, wasting people's time. They did lie in the interview about salary expectations later on. 
They like to hire inexperienced younger adults for cheap pay. ($20/hr to start then $25/hr where you will stay). If you are a mechanical engineering technologist I'd recommend going somewhere else it's not worth it. 
I worked here for about 2.5 years and there was a constant turnover of people due to the stress and outrageous demands of management.
It's poorly managed and stressful place for low pay. 
There are no raises here unless you hand in your 2 weeks notice and then you will see what you're really worth to the company.
One of the only good things about this place is the amount of overtime they will let you work but after awhile it is just expected of you. But they will also use this as an excuse not to give you a raise. The other good thing is they have a decent benefit plan with RRSP matching (After a year)
My father was in the ICU with COVID and they still had written me up for being on my phone. They constantly watch you on their cameras for you being on the phone or any other shenanigans. (Not wearing a hard hat when signing into work). 
A lot of family and nepotism goes on here so watch who you speak to. 

I started my career at CNC right after graduating from the NAIT Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma program. From the beginning, the hiring process was smooth and professional. The interviewer clearly outlined the responsibilities and expectations, which helped me transition into my role as a Quality Associate with confidence.

What truly stood out at CNC was the supportive leadership and organizational culture. I received cross-training opportunities that allowed me to expand my skills and gain valuable experience in multiple areas. Regular feedback sessions with leadership helped me identify both my strengths and areas for improvement. Their mentorship not only supported my growth within the company—it also helped shape my long-term career goals.

Eventually, I decided to pursue a different profession, based on the strengths that CNC’s leadership helped me discover and develop. I was fully supported during this transition—not only while I was employed there but even after I moved on. CNC continued to encourage my career development beyond the organization.

I feel fortunate to have started my career at CNC. It’s a great place for anyone looking to build a strong foundation, grow professionally, and be part of a team that truly invests in its people.

Lied about what shift was available/hired someone after myself that got the shift I wanted, found out the day I started.
Don't allow personal tools, but don't provide tools you are accustomed to using which make you proficient at your job.
Don't provide training, right away, on material handling equipment, you then have to ask your neighbour to do the work so you can do your work.
Don't provide the proper options of work wear, and then get upset because you are not following "protocol", if you bring your own, during probation.
Seems like they would rather watch you on camera and evaluate you without actually talking to you, as a human.
I had heard stories about the business, but took a chance anyway, the stories were true, its my own fault.
If you have experience and have worked autonomously before, this place is not for you. If you have tricks to make quality parts, that require tools you have bought, you won't have access to them. Like swimming with handcuffs on.


I recently joined CNC Industries, after years of working in healthcare/government. I must say it's a refreshing change to work in the private sector again, in a positive environment and feel "valued" as an employee. Staff are recognized for their many contributions and treated with the utmost respect. It's nice that work gets done with no red tape!

CNC is a very well run organization. The management team is wonderful and also very approachable. Team members always work in collaboration with each other to ensure customer needs are always met, and the product quality is top-notch. Providing excellent customer service is a top priority. CNC is a great place to work!

This place is most unorganized company I ever saw, people on top positions hire their family members and replacing them with hard working employees, in short you can say that nepotism is on peak, every day you have to face discrimination because top management favors their family members not you, moreover company change there production plans every other week that's why no stability in jobs, when they slow down they don't care how hard working you are they will lay you off...no job security  at all, worst place I ever worked. It's better to work at minimum wage than working at CNC industries.

Amazing place to work at, with countless opportunities. I've been with the company for 6+ years and have been given numeral opportunities to grow and learn within the organization. Hard work does pay off.

The management team challenges employees with problems, but is very supportive in finding solutions and providing necessary guidance.

Great group benefits plan and RRSP matching program. Also, have an employee recognition program where employees and the management team can recognize each other's efforts on a regular basis.

What more? We get pizza/BBQ/Special lunch once a month, and birthday treats once a month.

There are a few good people there. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The divide between management and production floor. There is a very toxic culture throughout the company. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing or why.

As toxic as the air quality in the building 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Cut throat, stressfull and almost always feeling like my job is in jeopardy.  The toxic behaviour is very distracting and hampers anyone's efforts to get their tasks done.

It's a great place to work. The people here are very friendly and helpful. We all feel like a family, and the atmosphere is very positive. If you work hard and you have good machining skills, CNC Industries is the right place for you. I've worked as a machinist in different shops for 20 years, and I've found that CNC Industries is the cleanest and most convenient workplace for me. The shop offers a competitive salary, which is the highest in the industry with a lot of benefits ( medical benefits,  RRSP , on site gym..etc).
Very talented machinists and programmers in the shop to face day to day challenges.

Pizza Day every last thursday of the month.

Too many peope giving direction.

Prefer not to mention as 140 character is not enough.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Everyday is a surprise day. Expect a more than 8 hours a day of work.  Better have an apple watch to track your steps in a given day you will surely meet your target…

There is no job security whatsoever. Consistent hiring when busy in summer and layoffs in winter. Worst management people you can find in any workplace. They have some favourite people in there who bring their family members to replace you all the time irrespective of your skill level. Overall very toxic environment to work in. Just other employees on shop floor are helpfull and good(not leads).
