Working at Core Linepipe was not a positive experience. The company suffers from poor management practices, lack of communication, and little regard for employee well-being. Leadership often makes decisions without consulting or supporting staff, which creates a stressful and unorganized work environment.

Employee growth and development are not prioritized, and hard work tends to go unnoticed. Many workers feel undervalued and replaceable, which contributes to low morale and high turnover. Safety standards and proper training are also inconsistent, which raises concerns given the type of industry the company operates in.

Overall, Core Linepipe is not a supportive or motivating workplace. Anyone considering employment here should be aware of the lack of stability, appreciation, and respect for employees. There are far better companies in the industry that value their people and provide a healthier work culture.

Management and the floor supervisors twist every possible situation to the companies benefit all the while taking every perk that you had (and there were barely any to begin with).

The Production Manager constantly sabotages you with petty little tasks, while you fall behind the pace because you are to busy doing things that he could easily do. Productivity actually decreases when the Production Manager is on the production floor

Training is non-existent until there is a safety shutdown. New hires are working on the production floor without any orientation.

If the management and floor supervisors took leadership training, they should get their money back because it clearly didn't work.

The overall working environment is extremely disorganized & very toxic. Management doesn't appreciate the staff. Working conditions are horrible, Absolutely zero communication between the departments. No training from the start.

You're mental & physical health will be pushed to the limit. There isn't any work/life balance. Plant GM has zero people skills, & will demean you in front of others.

Management doesn't care about safety, its all about production numbers. Major changes need to be made from the top down.

Until that happens, Nothing will change.

I work there for 5 years terrible I wouldn't recommend this company for anybody waste of time poor communication poor management poor work culture people say what they want to you and get away with it they put you down supervisors and managers play favourites with people and a reason why I was let go is because I know too much about the quality of the product is terrible I all they care about is production numbers not quality very abusive environment

Keep learning and learning.  Supervisors and the management will always supports you.

Stress can always overcome if you know what you are doing

Happy, motivated and good salary

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Monday to Thursday working is good.  Means you have enough time to rest and do other tasks

A daily competition between Management and the floor supervisors on how they can drive moral of the production staff even lower. The turnover rate is through the roof and Management blames everyone but themselves. They only care about shifting blame and not being held accountable for their ineptitude. No one should be this desperate to work here.

Lack of continuous jobs and abrupt layoffs.Not a place for longterm

Great environment for new comers.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work work work.You keep working and taking your breaks

Work hours are not as advertised. Pay is marginal, working conditions are dismal, and management (plant GM, lead op) are extremely poor. Work environment is toxic and not conducive of mental wellness.

Do not recommend working here.

I learned many new skills while employed at Core Linepipe. Their employees are experts in their field and they were not shy to share their knowledge and wisdom with new employees who were willing to learn and adapt to the flow of operations in the field. I would work for Core Linepipe again.
