The most toxic place I have ever worked. The schedule is posted at the last possible moment so you can't plan any appointments in advance, and if you have the nerve to ask for time off to go to these appointments you will be spoken down to for "trying to manipulate the schedule."
Human Resources is a joke, if your manager wants to scream at you for making a mistake they will just walk past you.
Guests are the most entitled, rude, unreasonable, and snobby people I have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. 
You have to do your own research on golf lingo (yes it is a golf course, but this is just reservations) no one will help you, and the guests expect you to know everything.
Final note (if you end up working there) whatever you do, DON NOT let your supervisor con you into being the person who goes to the "Management Check In" Meetings. The supervisors don't go, and it basically ends with you getting railroaded by the other departments for things you have no control over.

Cabot links is an unorganized mess that should be investigated for a number of things. Poor management in all departments, especially the turf department. They will lie to anyone from away to get them to travel there and work. 11 dollars an hour is what you start of with in almost all departments.  Know your right before you start work in here because they will take advantage of them and manipulate them to make thereblives easier. Whenni worked they 10 people quit working I a span of 3 months!

The hardest part of the job was 'The Job' (Kitchen Steward). The most enjoyable part of the job was the staff members and tasting all the 'Great Food'.

The Workplace Culture is what you make of it. Avoiding those who are negative and not engaging in negative conversations or negative actions works perfectly.

I worked at Cabot for 2 years and every year has been exciting with so much to learn and also enjoy at the same time. Right from the staff and management everyone here is so friendly and helpful. It's one of a kind experience. You won't know it unless you try it. Also to add to this is the beautiful town of Inverness with its even more beautiful beach and it's sunsets.

Cabot is a beautiful golf resort on the ocean in western Cape Breton and is ranked as the best in Canada and one of the best in the world.  It's vistas, down-to-earth people and world class golf and service made it a true treat to work and play at... :-)

My time at Cabot Links was summer work coming out of high school and the work was alright I guess. For the work they expected you to do the pay was not nearly enough. However I worked throughout the summer and made some friends with my fellow employees and was done what I was asked.

I worked here at the links and the cliffs and both where a mess you are overworked under paid and your work is never apperciated and any complaints never get looked into would never go back to cabot they dont give a dang about their workers.

My experience wasn’t the best, at times I felt like a zombie due to long hours and little time off. Something weird going on with the tip pool, and strange tension between senior staff members. Housekeepers were required to clean the owners homes (when we barely had enough staff to clean guest rooms) and they never tipped.

Department I worked in poorly run, was not trained, although had experience, a lot of waste in materials. One of my co workers had to blow into a machine before god to work to be able to drive  to work and the same to go home. HR terrible.

It is a very nice place to work, in any of the departments. people are friendly and the overall environment is incredible. The course's are beautiful and scenery is also incredible.
