-Reconciling cash and positions of assigned accounts.
-Completing monthly net asset valuation packages, ensuring that all balance sheet, trial balance, and income statement values were correct.
-Learned a lot about futures market, and the positions that the company held.
-Coworkers were great to work with and very sociable even after work hours.
-Most enjoyable aspect was the learning experience and the coworkers.

A fast paced working environment with high volume of overtime but  enjoyed working with other team members.  Team work is essential in this field, everyone is cross trained and able to take over each desk in case of absentism.  Provide good opportunities to communicate with different levels of clients such as administrators, investment managers, and auditors.

The company is small. You can have coffee with the CEO in the morning if you wanted to. Easy going for the most part. The training is very fast and hands on with some what a steep learning curve.

Good Job to learn about the investment accounting of hedge funds. There is an opportunity to interact with Investment Managers. Most valuations are done on spreadsheets which helps you get a better understanding of Performance Fees calculations

Good first time job for experience, no growth or upward movement opportunity.
Systems are in French, some in English depends on the team / process assigned to you. Bilingualism is necessary to thrive.

people are relatively friendly as long as you do your job.  excellence is a priority.  work life balance is okay.  long hours only during peak season and management tries to minimize overtime work as much as possible.

Great place to work, lots of learning you stay there for long management is very helpful, people are nice and supportive. Advancement can be tough as vertical movements are slow.

It is a relaxed work atmosphere, extremely great colleagues and has been a great place to work, in the past few years after Management changed hands, it has been a little different work culture
