Cafe Crepe

Exactly what the title says. If you work at this company, you will guaranteed have a job as they do reward and value individuals who are good at their job but there are a lot of things relating to the job that make this a difficult place to work. One is the arrangement of the kitchen (if you are a cook) and another is how the management treats staff. This is not to say the management treats staff poorly, quite the opposite. I had never felt disrespected or anything of the sort while working there but staff is treated as something you can throw around and overwork or dispose of when labour is too high as they often do. This is understandable but not when there are many other things that contribute to issues like that which they refuse to fix

There are also no dishwashers for closing and they do not do last call either so staff is expected to take orders until closing, then clean the kitchen and then go upstairs and wash the dishes that have built up over night. On a slow day, not such a big deal. However, forcing one of the two cooks working in the kitchen to go upstairs to wash dishes puts a lot of stress and pressure on the other who has to stay downstairs, cook, clean and do whatever else. Restaurant may close at 11, orders are finished being made by 11:10, cleaning done at 11:25-11:30 and dishes done by 11:40. On a slow day. If it's even slightly busy, you are there until 12-12:30 or even 1:00 depending on the closing team.

I work during the days normally, opening and enjoy getting to know and serve regular customers everyday. At Cafe Crepe, I was able to perform a variety of roles at the same time, server and barista. Performing both roles at the same time demands multi tasking and thinking ahead in order to provide the best customer service and supreme efficiency in order to manage the entire restaurant including take out orders and drink service.

I work with a great team of people who are efficient and create a fun and exciting work environment. Management are great, very understanding and aways available to dive in and get their hands dirty to help out with busy rushes.

Cafe Crepe is a busy express cafe located at the heart of the city, Vancouver, Canada. It is usually busy during the day but progressively slow at night. 

I learned to multitask, how to forward a communication and also, surprisingly, I also attained knowledge of leadership skills.

Management is, unfortunately, unsatisfying. Most of the request are not heard and are often overlooked.  Favouritism clearly shows, especially in the management area.

However, despite the problem, staff members are very enjoyable to be around with. There has never been a boring day at work.

this company was fun to work with in the beginning. but went downhill when they started introducing a high-end menu. I've been with the company for over 8 years and I have seen the good and bad. The upper management was a joke and still is to this day. I've worked at all the stores that they have opened and they all have closed except one. From growing and expanding the company in a good amount of time to having just 1 lousy store express. It was the owner's "hobby" apparantly of having the creperie. I have many more stories to tell just ask.

unique culture but terrible management especially upper management.
Upper managers seem not to have restaurant experience.
Mid-managers are just ok.
No training since I started, I had to learn by myself 
however, surprisingly no one is able to train anyone. 
The operations manager never greet to employees, 
doesn't know what to sell. 
He seems a new to restaurant industry. 
no rules, no training, no respect for employees
so many firing, walks out . This is the worst work environment ever

I started out working at their location on Commercial drive when it was running.  There, I had professional and fun training that prepared me for the patrons yet to come. A tight-knit group, we all shared duties which made it feel more like home.

It always smelled so great coming home from work, I loved it. Would definitely work and eat here again!

I’ve been working in so many companies and I def can speak up, cafe crepê is the best company I’ve ever worked. They never failure any pay date, tips are fairly good, management is caring and concerned about staff and their needs. Good environment and there is still a career growth.

Everyone who worked there was nice, but it's a very busy restaurant and often understaffed (though the managers didn't realize it). Not great for someone who's just starting out, but I'm sure if you have a lot of experience it would be better for you.

Had a lot of fun working here. I worked at the queen east location, closed now but I'm sure the other franchises are good as well. Upper management and the owner's specially were awesome, worked in the industry and they were one of the better ones.
