Caledonia Transportation

I worked for Caledonia briefly. My bus had something wrong with it EVERY SINGLE DAY. I had to drive 20-25 mins to get to my bus, after being told they would "do their best to find a parking spot close to my house". I drove past multiple different caledonia parking spots on my way to my bus. The management was terrible. Disorganized, very little training and orientation. They basically checked my licence, handed me a folder with my route info, gave me a bus number and sent me on my way. The only good thing about Caledonia was the pay was slightly higher than other bus companies I've worked for.

The hardest part of the job was route changes alot of the times students who travel too school by bus build a small bond with their bus driver and for me I will state I think changes are hardest on the smaller children. 

This job me was great when my children were small ,  I could take them with me.
I could work independently ,which l very much enjoyed. Also you could take your bus home, if you had a spot to park , that was another bonus. Staff was great, always pleasant.

Family oriented environment.
Staff are treated with respect, not just a number on a pay roll. 
Buses are well maintained with interactive mechanics you can speak to when issues arise.
So aside from lower pay scale, great place to work!

You cannot find a manager around when required. Staff help but this company has an absentee owner and manager and can't get pay issues resolved. That causes concerns to drivers.

Great place to work. Zero issues there. It just doesn’t pay the bills when you’re a single parent. Loved driving and I could bring my kids when they were in elementary school which helped me a lot.

Love working here. A very stress free place to work. Co workers all wonderful people. The job is an awesome part time place to work. Works well for retired and stay at home moms.

There is no management at the company. They had brought in recently a new manager but he could not do his job properly and left. Need to find a new manager.
