Calgary Honda

Very competative but lots of fun sometimes. A typical day at work would be selling to customers, talking with customers, some become  friends.  I  learned all about Honda vehicles.  Management was alright, Management does what they have to do to keep employees and customers content.   Co workers were friendly but mostly focused on selling.

The initial sell and appeal of working here quickly wore off after talking with some new co-workers. They tell you that you will be busy all the time, which proved less than accurate. The shop needs to be better advertised, with better paths to promotion or incentives to upgrade.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Its a fast pace area. I love engaging with Customers all day long. Each day is different and brig its own challenges.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I would say , managing the presence of many customers at the same time. But if you used to it , it doesn't cause you any issue.

overall great place to work as long as the leadership is solid, I left due to specific leadership not clicking with me properly, and a few other circumstances that rubbed me the wrong way, otherwise they are understanding on your bad days and motivating on your good days. A little disorganized some times.

Managers given all the responsibility but no power. Direction is weak at best and regional manager believes in very negative condescending emails as a form of motivation. When asked for direction an answer was not available, just a do your job comment.

The flat-rate employment model for automotive technicians is incredibly exploitative and forces technicians to rush through work - at the expense of professional integrity, safety, and working relationships - if they want to have any hope of taking home a full day's pay.  This shop is no exception.

Nice place to wor for.  Flat rate hours are great but wage can improve more! Service manager is easy going. Shop foreman  very helpfull. People are nice to work with!

Low pay 
No respect for their employees 
Management full of egos
Don’t know how to deal with clients
Does not appreciate employees suggestion 
Over promises to employees then takes a knife and stab them in the back

No place to grow. They are so set in their ways. No value for any employee that isn’t either high preforming or management everyone else is worthless.

I always enjoyed going to work, they had a great atmosphere and great employees. Tasks that challenged me to think outside the box as well as opportunities to collaborate with other employees
