Not only was I encouraged to take part in workshops, I was also encouraged to listen to teleconferences that the team of physicians I worked with took. I was not a medical person, but they took the time to explain their medical practice. It was a very energizing place to work.
The people in the administration and lab departments were a very wonderful group of co-workers and bosses.
The most difficult part of the job was getting in touch with the off-site Drs to do their off-hours schedule.

The company has achieved a high level of camaraderie. PSC staff and management are very ptofessional and can rely to each other. Management are welcoming and approachable. The PSC staff are content with work schedules. Division of work are professionally accepted, executed and efficiently.  Staff displays respect to one another and empowered by management to draw solutions in order to improve work procedures.

If you are union it is okay.  For non union it is awful.  No raises for 7 years while union employees get their yearly.  If you are union and have addiction issues they bend over backwards to help.  If you have mental health or other issues and you are not union, they could care less and would just as soon as get rid of you. The turnover for non union positions especially in HR is extreme.  Long time employees that are bullies are highly regarded.

This employer ultimately looks for people that work like cattle with little or no empathy for the patients they serve. Supervisor are stressed and have poor people skills. There is also issues with staff that does not speak or understand english fluently enough for patients to understand important medical test  instructions. There is a great ability to move around and upwards in all areas.

Ten and a half years ago when I first began my employment with CLS we were actually paid very well and received regular pay increases. All that has changed. My department has not had a pay increase since June 2011. I really have nothing good to say about this employer simply because somewhere, somehow the employees became expendable. Seeking new opportunities.

The job gives you a strong sense of making an impact on patient’s diagnosis and treatment. The seniority list provides you with job security. The pension is not as good as working in the hospital, but is satisfying to me. You need to have certain level of data entry skills and lab instrument performance ability.

I enjoyed working here and would reccomend it to anyone. This compay is government based and is subject to budget cuts and polixcitical interference, if that is not for you than reconsider applying here. Other than that, the expemt staff are great to work with and are generally all very professional and good at what they do.

This is a great place to work.  The job is very interesting and is different each and every day.  The people are great and teamwork is almost always in play.  The benefits are extremely good and I love working there.

One of the best company in the City to work. Every year health spending account money, either you put in on your RRSP or cash it out. More vacation hours, depends on the managers

will to work with all employees and skills. Its a Hard job but very rewarding. this company will not allow refereces. the company is well run and very organized. they offer lots of extra coures that you are paid to attend.
