What is the best part of working at the company?
The staff, management, and the members are fantastic, as well you had all the tools to do your job properly. It's a great environment to work in

Not much stress at all, everybody seems to work together as a team in all departments helping each other

Very comfortable in all r aspects. Everybody takes ownership on the job in a comfortable culture and environment

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Everyday was a little bit different, but you always set up for success not always knowing the lunch rush. Some days there were many functions booked at petroleum club and you would be running off your feet, and other days there wouldn't be a lot going on as it was a day to clean, and organize the bar, and storage areas

A typical day at work is mainly prepping for and serving the members and their guests.
I have learned that there are better establishments to work at who would appreciate me and my work.
Management is very toxic and disrespectful towards employees
They ask for your feedback on issues however do not respond when you take the time to listen when you offer it
The hardest part of the job is dealing with toxicity and disrespect while carrying out your job 
The most enjoyable part of the job is serving and getting to know the members and their guests





Worked 8 hour shifts with paid lunch break, could not leave building during shift. All free pop you could drink, as well free food, in lunch room. Awesome group people to work for, very old school. Christmas they would have a party that was for people that worked there and there children with Santa, as well as an adult Christmas party for employees, They had there own pastry chief. Day shift when do tare down from morning function, lots times lefts over breakfast scrambled  eggs, sausage etc. Which would end up in employee lunch room.

Working here was quite rewarding. I gained a lot of experience as a food and beverage server. You deal with professionals and executives from the industry so it can be quite intimidating at first but you get used to it pretty quickly because of all the exposure and practice. Management is mostly accomodating, personal, and fair. Your training is basically all informal and on-the-job so don't expect anything formal. I would recommend working at the club.

Okay and easy to understand each daily tasks 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Banquets and services for the community of Calgary and its clients for the event space

Work was alot of fun and educational. The office was like family. We all worked as a team and helped each other when needed. Work had great benefit package and was family orienated. Everyone got along in the office which is rare in a lot of companies that have many women working.

Overall your peers there are not bad but the management doesn’t appreciate their staff and are very inexperienced to run a business. Not professional. The compensation is very low for a serving job, with no benefits or perks. Full time staff have to pay for benefits. Not that busy there either so you do a lot of standing around in the evenings, they also chronically over staff.

I like to work there except the money. You will share the tips with supervisors and bartenders and they are getting more than servers. I have never seen this in my life. Food for staff is free, supervisors are awesome, parking in DT sucks, some co workers are lazy, so you have to do their job.

I enjoyed my time with the club and the staff were great! Everyone was very welcoming and it was an overall good environment. You would never know if you're working a full 8 hours or if your just working 3-4 hours days, that was on down fall.

Don’t work here.... very poorly managed and toxic environment / regime to associate with. Very little value is placed on employees but lots of talk..... negative GOSIP about you behind your back by management specifically HR to fellow employees is accepted in this company.
