Camp Cook

Rise early and begin the days activities..Good interaction with camp staff and clients...Some are friendly some not so much. Learned to be a more tolerant person due to working with various personalities. Field supervisors are awesome and office staff always know who you are which is a real plus.The hardest part of the job was truck unloading as people tend to want to rush and get a little worked up.Otherwise nothing hard about it at all. The most enjoyable part of the job for me is the actual cooking and trying new things for the menu. Love baking so it is nice to have the opportunity to bake from scratch.

start to the birds singing in the early morn cooking breaky for clients   shopping then lunch more shopping for fresh food  for supper  this is ongoing for 10 weeks during  july and august ,,,we split wood cut the grass and  just have a pile of fun

Working on remote camps is awesome. The work is hard, but the life is fantastic. Generally you work 6 weeks in and 2 weeks out in the small camps. You make excellent money, comparable to an executive chef in the city, but you are only cooking for 15 people or so, for 31 weeks a year

Worked with some really nice people that I have attained long term friendships with

Typical day is 12 hours. The hardest part of the job is being away from home. Travel to and from work can be challenging depending on location. The most enjoyable part of the job is the graveyard shift where one can work at their own pace without a lot of distraction.

Daily cleaning and cooking for all the employee's. My co-workers were enjoyable to work with as of the management..Hardest part was to mannage your in for everthing to be on time but I got easy by every passing day. Enjoy the time to go for walks in the woods, fishing on my spare time.

A good place to work, great people, good customers.  Lodging was excellent.  Hardest part of job was long hours on split shifts.  Equipment was excellent.  Most enjoyable part of my day was conversing with and serving customers.

I enjoy working in remote locations, love the wild outdoors. Never a dull moment when working in camp, you must think on the fly, and solve problems quickly.

Worked as a cook. I gained alot of experience cooking new meals and got used to cooking in a camp environment. Liked the ability to make my own menu. I was basically my own boss.
