There can be a lot of work at times, and sometimes you must adapt to an unforeseen situation

Absolutely amazing: every person there is a joy to work with.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It depends from week to week, but during the summer with the kids, I'd wake myself and the kids up, bring them to and run activities, eat and hang out with them, keep them having fun and safe, and dealing with any issues that arise.

Making sure all the kids are safe and trying to have your partner work with you and not against you 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Chill, but firm. There are rules to be followed, but it is very easy to incorporate fun for yourself as well as the campers

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get up, go to a meeting, having breakfast with the kids, day full of activities and downtime, end day with campfire

Job responsibilities include providing service to guests, such as preparing accommodations, maintaining cleanliness in the lodge and providing help to guests. Serving meals, washing/ returning dishes, and keeping areas where food is handled neat and sanitary. Being able to work with other employees to complete tasks and taking responsibility for tasks done alone.  
This is a great work environment for people of all ages. The people are easy to work with and make the time fly by. This is a great job and allows individuals to gain experience in terms of time management, customer satisfaction, communication and detail orientated work.

Nakamun is a great summer job place to work, especially if you love working with kids and follow the Christian faith. You get to meet lots of supportive people that you bond with over the summer, grow stronger in your faith with God, and get to do lots of fun activities with the kids you look after. The hardest part of the job is the behaviour management skills that sometimes need to be put in place with the children, but those skills grow and get stronger over time because of it!

This was more of a volunteer opportunity.  This work challenge me to do more physical labour than I'm used to. I had to wake up early and go to sleep very late. I was always busy and working on a team. I worked in the kitchen cleaning plates and serving food.  I also got to work with the campers and clean the grounds of the camp.

Every day is filled with things to do. If you want to be doing something you can. Everyone on staff appreciates and respects you and gives you the appropriate pushes you need in order to succeed. The hours can be tough but every day is so full of adventures that you feel fulfilled by the end every time.

Great place for personal growth esp. In leadership, patience, and perseverance. Sometimes communication is lacking and the other employees can become clicky and it is incredibly exhausting but still entirely worth it.

Management was very supportive of all staff. A typical day at work involved working with youth, and "doing life" with them. Co-workers were great, and we were supportive of each other. The most enjoyable parts of the day were meal times, and activity times.

wake up early get ready with kids and the go to breakfast. After breakfast  we ahd fun activities with the kids and chapel then we would go to lunch the activities then chapel then alone time then dinner and then campfire and then devotions and then bed time.

Volunteering at Camp Nakamun was honestly such a great experience. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming, which made it really easy to feel comfortable right away. I had a lot of fun helping out with activities and getting to know both the staff volunteers and the campers.
