Wish I did not apply for this job and listened to the reviews. Management could use some work. No consistent training. Good at adapting and can take a hostile work environment and verbal abuse? You get to stay. And if you’re not/can’t? Say goodbye. They can fire you for no reason, even if you’re over your 3month probation.  If you bring up a problem with a team lead- they don’t care. Don’t get along with somone from their team? Quit.  X-ray side is the WORST. The techs/leads are so rude and condicending and will throw your mistakes in your face the first chance they get. No consistency throughout all clinics. Being a casual is hard.  We do something right at one location and then at the other, that same thing is wrong and you get reemed out for it. The Radiologists?  Unbelievable. There’s maybe 2-3 nice ones out of all locations. If you’re not a tech or team lead, don’t even try to talk to them. They talk down to you like you’re not important. Being the front line sucks at CDC. If the Bookings department makes a mistake you get disrespected and yelled at, like it’s your mistake. You make a mistake checking in or don’t add priors to patients exams? You’re in for it. Techs will come up to the front and hate on you for wasting their precious time. Ultrasound on the other hand is a little better run and are generally really nice. I’m not a disgruntled employee, just telling the truth. Most front desk people are nice, understanding and helpful since they know it’s hard to keep track of all the other locations procedures.  This is NOT an easy job. It’s not just checking in patients and you're done. It’s stressful and degrading. Sometimes I was fearful to go to work, wondering what am I going to do wrong today...

Is CDC a good place to work? Well it depends on your position. Are you a technician, expect to be treated very well with bonuses. If you're a favorite or part of the senior group, you get better salary increases regardless of performance results. If you're not a favorite, expect a raise that doesn't come close in covering annual inflation. Do you enjoy a combination of narcissistic and poor leadership with no consistency in practices? This is the place for you.  Are you in a supporting role or management role and aren't directly producing revenue? Sorry, you're on the bottom, are replaceable and will be disengaged relatively quickly. Any middle management or supporting role should steer clear from this company, Senior leadership wouldn't know best practices if they were smacked in the face with them. So many good people at CDC, but a few bad apples in leadership is enough to ruin it all. You've been warned.

CDC is a well established company that is at the forefront of medical imaging in Alberta.  I appreciate working for a company that has policies and procedures in place for just about anything.  I've looked around and they offer competitive wage and great benefits for full time employees.  Lots of room for growth too!  The Medical Director has done a great job guiding our company through the pandemic with the support of the Senior Leadership Team.  All employees are not happy all of the time but overall I think it is the best radiology company to work for in Alberta.

This is fantastic company to work for. HR is always there for you when you have any problems. Senior leadership is easily avalible to be contacted and are very friendly. Radiologists are "usually" friendly and engage with staff in a postive manner(depeding on the Rad). Front desk is very efficient and easily availble to speak too. Ultrasound has highly knowledgeble and kind staff. Xray has a very collabrative work environment with everyone supporting eachother. My only complaint is that I am not paid enough for the amount I do at the clinic level and find myself burntout everyday. Wish I could be noticed for the amount of work I do despite being on my last legs and having an insane amount on my plate by being properly paid... However the hard work pays off as you have a sense of fullfillment everyday knowing youve been able to help a patient.

It has been a pleasure working with CDC for last 9 years. I was a fresh graduate and CDC invested in me and trained me in a number of new skillsets. The work culture at CDC is very fair and techs are valued as company assets. The management is transparent and supportive for the team. 

Supervisors and radiologists are very supportive to newer ultrasound techs. Scan times are reasonable and special accommodations are made to help techs facing difficulties. Rate of pay is among the highest in national average and great benefits are offered for the family. I could have not found a more reliable and supportive workplace.

Working with CDC for years in Marketing and Practitioner Relations department. Peers are very compassionate and very helpful for patients as well as within coworkers. Working from 8 to 4 in a typical day, enjoy the work every day learn so many things every day technical and people skills. 
Key point is no extra stress or keeping stress level at minimum by every
employee including management.
Hardest part of my job is making patients and people outside company happy .
The most enjoyable part is also the same making people happy by resolving their issues in time and helping them.
I definitely recommend CDC as great place to work.

I love working for CDC. All managers are exceptional. My coworkers are fun, positive and creative people. Our radiologist are highly specialized and our senior management genuinely cares for their employees.  

Not only do we provide exceptional patient care to our patients, our corporate culture is communicative, helpful and passionate individuals. HR is very respectful and cares about their associates.

It is exciting to be part of a company that is focused on growth. I think there are many opportunities ahead and leadership makes an effort to develop their teams to pursue those opportunities. 

Very stressful and high demand job. Management do not help employees with anything and if you complain they will disregard  and brush it off under the rug. No patient care as management only care about numbers and see patient as numbers and not people. There is no work/life balance as manager demands more time and sick and vacation days do not get approved as manager tends to "forget" your request dates. Manager only cares about how to make herself look good and does not care about the other people working on the lines or the patients!. Do not work here if you want to love your job. 

CDC cares for their employees! I have been with CDC for 5 years and have had many opportunities to learn and grow my skill set and grow as a person. I have always felt supported and rewarded for hard work.  The extra effort from our leadership during the pandemic to keep us safe and informed has reinforced the level of commitment the company has to staff. We work in a fast paced environment with lots of pressure but are given plenty opportunity to have work life balance. From treat days to personal time and excellent benefits! CDC is a great place to work!

Horrible company run by money hungry micro managers. Top heavy and over work the technicians who actually make the company money. Radiologists vary- some very seasoned and others very inexperienced and cant even read basic ultrasounds like obstetrics. Every year they find ways to cut benefits and incentives to save company money. Zero recognition for hard work. Ultrasound ran by unprofessional manager and team leads who act out of fear
