My typical day at work consisted of daily morning reports, emails, conducting admin duties and staying in touch with head office and working side by a Chef or Manager in remote camp locations.
I've learned alot about how the camp business works and developed a good rapport with our clients(Contractors). Being in the catering industry it was my duty to provide my best office manners and skills. I would say the hardest part of my job was when I would combo myself and help out when we would have a situation where extra help was needed elsewhere such as the kitchen or cleaning rooms on 10 hour day shifts. At times it was back breaking and sore feet kinda moments. However the best part of the job was impressing myself completing my tasks and ensuring everything was properly conducted and everyone was happy at the end of the day. With regards to Management I have been asked why I am not a Manager as I am capable of handing such jobs at times. I am fair and problem solve as effective as I can and I do get along great with the Managers we have with the company. I love doing what I do and would not change my career at all if I had a chance. Administrative Assistant.

CNC hired many people with drug and alcohol related issues.
 As a whole, nice people but very difficult to work with ie: moody, under influence.
 Outgoing pep talk from managment was rude and derrogatory.
Since I am not a smoker or a user, I was not part of the "in" crowd and found that prejudiced attitudes were directed at me in the work setting.
Best part of job besides paycheck had to be the abundance of fresh food to work with. Clientelle was wonderful.
Hardest  part of job was wondering if there was " intelligent life form out there"
Accomodations mostly good. always a private room. Occasionally a private bathroom.
Definetly long hours but made the time go quickly. Rhythm was soon established.

I had the opportunity to work with the best of the best with this company. The workplace culture was cool as we got to get prizes for coming to work as our names were entered in contests each time. Canada North work gear and accessories were given to workers who stayed with the company for over 6 months. We worked 10 hour days and even though I was a Clerk I had other roles such as Janitor or assisting other workers in Housekeeping or in the kitchen as I had 2nd Cook/Housekeeping experience. We became family oriented as most of us worked together mostly and built lasting relationships. I learned how the process of working in camps and the functions of all administration as I had a working relationship with head office.

Went from a ton of work to no work, and work long hard hours for little pay. If you don't do drugs, smoke or drink you will not fit in. They will hire anyone who walks through the door. Very poor office management, do not know how to handle people or staff very well. All their camps there always seemed to be a problem with staff and no shows. Bad employees get promotions, while good employees get screwed over. Expect you to sit around all summer and collect ei, waiting for their phone call.

10 hour shifts, 21 days rotation
Check in clients and assign rooms on computer
Assure prior to arrival that rooms are cleaned
Checkout and billing to company
Returning emails
Telephone inquiries for availability and booking
Hard - handling 100 clients arriving at the same time for check-in
Enjoyable - clients

1.Bookkeeping/ Accounts payable
invoicing/Accounts receivable
Reconciling Visas
payments/ payroll 
2. I learned how to do jobs with cooperation and trust.
3. With my co- workers were very open to one another.
4. The hardest part of my job is asking for the availability of funds
and trying to make sure the deadline.
5. The most thing I enjoyable thing is keeping your self busy with the clients.

A TYPICAL DAY FOR ME WAS A VISIT DAY BECAUSE TIME FLY.
I LEARN HONESTY AND GOOD COMUNICATION  SO PUNTUALITYARE THE BEST TOOLS ON THE WORLD.
A LEAST TRY TO BE A GOOD LEADER AND COMPRENHENSIVE PERSON CAN HELP.
BE IN CONSTANTLY COMUNICATION CAN BE BETTER.
SOME TIMES TRY TO BE THE BEST WITHOUT HURT FEELINGS.

I enjoyed working in camps and developed excellent client customer service. Working in camp was like having a second family and everyone looked out for each other. I like working one on one with all managers and supervisors.

Backstabbing, un- knowledgeable, greeady slave drivers. They don’t care about anyone or anything and try to screw anyone who is dumb enough to work for them. Propane company refused to deliver . Water& sewer stopped hauling it got so bad that they had to get there driver to haul water to Peace River from Edmonton

not much to say about the company or other associated companies.
pay is VERY low, no raises ever, no promotions , took a lot longer than expected to get benefits, horrible benefits, cut employees wages and very cheap company, rude co-workers, disrespectful and very unprofessional, broken promises
