Canada Pallet

The job itself wasn't bad. typical factory setting. High turnover rate due to young generation not being able/willing to do the required physical labour. It was a pretty brain dead job, operator loads wood into machine, machine cuts wood, labourers pile wood. major problem was whenever individual pay increase was promised, I had to go to HR to try to get it fixed or applied a few time. Only happened when I received a raise not when they increase wages due to cost of living.

The company itself is okay. Bully managers and those who think themselves superior are constantly allowed to scream and yell at workers without punishment. Injustice towards employees from middle management, sweeping problems and “incidences” under the rug. Productivity always comes before safety. 

i worked there for a little under a year and it was enjoyable at its times and not so much fun sometimes like any other job. my typical day would of been to go start my saw and get wood ready to be cut into special sizes for customers.

Easy to get into for work but the work is repetitive and boring.
Pay is okay but is discussed around the workplace often that for the amount of work we do it isn't enough.
No decent climate control
Takes forever for management to get to anything and the communication between management staff is non-existent

Expect to be treated like a number unless you’re one of the related ones.   Pay reasonable but management don’t treat peoples like they have a life outside of work.  
Regular problems that management never solve just hide.   
Promise lots and never do it. 


Supervisors play favorites and bully  ppl.  Hr does nothing to stop it and blames employees.  Issues constantly swept under the rug. Great job as long as you can avoid them.  Awesome benefits and head bosses care about the employees. Great coworkers

Great place to work if you want to make money. regular shifts and decent pay. it is a very busy work place so there are a lot of opportunities for over time.

I had a love/hate relationship with this job. The work was pretty tough, it was fast paced and you had fill quotas within a certain time frame, but the people were pretty awesome. Never a dull moment working at this place.

Pay could for sure be better, office Staff are great but supervisors are always doing something wrong. weather its blaming you for something, miss counting, or something else

Canada Pallet is very casual - attire, and environment.  The people are great to work with.  This was a great place to gain valuable skills, but there was limited room for growth.
