Since my first day there I have learned so many things, not just with all the new skills that were new to me, but I learned how to make people happy when they would come in looking for something that would help them with their disability. I learned that the company itself was more then what I thought they were, and just how important they really are, and what they can do out there that other companies cannot. This was a very enjoyable placement, and they even managed to fit me in so that I could work longer hours then what regular volunteer hours were. They really know how to put smiles on peoples faces, whether your an employee, volunteer, or customer. I also learned to treat everyone with honesty, respect, and to treat everyone equal.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Just wanting to do a good job.  Wanting to make people comfortable

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The enviorment is very engaging with the goal to give clients the best time

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Usually about 9.30 to 5 pm with lunch provided and driving good vehicals

At the beginning of the day you do a brief with other coworkers and see where everyone is at and what need to be done. Then the rest of  the day you are alone to focus on your work. That being said, most employees have their doors open and are very friendly and helpful! I like that i am left with the responsibility of big projects, and there is always so many people letting you know how you are doing.

Assisted the visually impaired with daily tasks such as reading
and shopping. I enjoyed my time as a volunteer at CNIB. I was trained and matched with clients based on my schedule, availability and skills.

It was my pleasure to work in this organization. we were working for blind people . we organized few events.  Responds to inquiries on CNIB services/programs and community resources.  
Initiates external referrals when appropriate.

I like volunteering at  CNIB  because of the people i get to meet. Everyday is different and interesting. I learn something new everyday and I am never board

Volunteering in a angry that you are familiar with is so much fun. meeting and talking with different people. Answering phones and transferring calls.
